2 Peter 2:8

(for that righteous man, having dwelt among them seeing and hearing, was vexed in his righteous soul day after day with their unlawful deeds)—
(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds):
(for that just man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by what he saw and heard of their lawless acts),
For that just man, living [there] among them, tortured his righteous soul every day with what he saw and heard of [their] unlawful and wicked deeds—
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
(for as that righteous man lived among them day by day, his righteous soul was tormented by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—
( While that righteous man lived among them he felt deep distress every day on account of the immoral actions he saw and heard.)
for the wicked deeds which that righteous man saw and heard, as he lived among them, tormented his righteous heart day after day.
Lot lived right and was greatly troubled by the terrible way those wicked people were living. He was a good man, and day after day he suffered because of the evil things he saw and heard. So the Lord rescued him.
(for the righteous man through seeing and hearing, dwelling among them, tormented [his] righteous soul day after day with [their] lawless works,)
( for by sight and hearing the righteous one dwelling among them day after day was tormenting his righteous soul with their lawless works)
For in sight and hearing he was just: dwelling among them, who from day to day vexed the just soul with unjust works.
This good man lived with those evil people every day, and his good heart was hurt by the evil things he saw and heard.
Lot lived among those bad people. Every day, he saw the bad things that they did. Every day, he heard the bad things that they said. As a result, Lot had much trouble in his mind, because he was a good man.
(while that righteous man was living among them, he was tormented in his righteous soul day after day by the lawless deeds he saw and heard);
(for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard);
(for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard);
(Lot was a ·good [righteous] man, but because he lived with evil people ·every day [day after day], his ·good heart [righteous soul] was ·hurt [tormented] by the ·evil things [lawless deeds] he saw and heard.)
(For he being righteous, and dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds.)
Although he was a man who had God’s approval, he lived among the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Each day was like torture to him as he saw and heard the immoral things that people did.
That good man lived among them, and day after day he suffered agony as he saw and heard their evil actions.
(for as he lived among them, that righteous man tormented himself day by day with the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—
(Lot was a good man, but he lived with evil people every day. His good heart was hurt by the evil things that he saw and heard.)
for as long as that righteous man lived among them, day after day he was being tortured in his righteous soul by what he saw and heard in their lawless actions—
But even in those days there were false prophets, just as there will be false teachers among you today. They will be men who will subtly introduce dangerous heresies. They will thereby deny the Lord who redeemed them, and it will not be long before they bring on themselves their own downfall. Many will follow their pernicious teaching and thereby bring discredit on the way of truth. In their lust to make converts these men will try to exploit you too with their bogus arguments. But judgment has been for some time hard on their heels and their downfall is inevitable. For if God did not spare angels who sinned against him, but banished them to the dark imprisonment of hell till judgment day: if he did not spare the ancient world but only saved Noah (the solitary voice that cried out for righteousness) and his seven companions when he brought the flood upon the world in its wickedness; and if God reduced the entire cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes (when he sentenced them to destruction as a fearful example to those who wanted to live in defiance of his laws), and yet saved Lot the righteous man, in acute mental distress at the filthy lives of the godless—Lot, remember, was a good man suffering spiritual agonies day after day at what he saw and heard of their lawlessness—then you may be absolutely certain that the Lord knows how to rescue a good man surrounded by temptation, and how to reserve his punishment for the wicked until his day comes.
(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, afflicted his righteous soul from day to day with the deeds of those unjust people);
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
(for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds),
(for that righteous man, as he lived among them day after day, was tormenting his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he was seeing and hearing),
But at the same time the Lord rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a good man, sick of the terrible wickedness he saw everywhere around him day after day.
God decreed destruction for the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. A mound of ashes was all that was left—grim warning to anyone bent on an ungodly life. But that good man Lot, driven nearly out of his mind by the sexual filth and perversity, was rescued. Surrounded by moral rot day after day after day, that righteous man was in constant torment.
(for that righteous man lived among them, and what he saw and heard of their lawless deeds tormented his righteous soul day after day);
(for while that righteous man was living among them day after day, he was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds that he saw and heard);
Although he was a man who had God’s approval, he lived among the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Each day was like torture to him as he saw and heard the immoral things that people did.
(for day after day that righteous man living among them was tormented in his righteous soul at the lawless deeds that he saw and heard),
(for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds),
(for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds),
for that man was greatly tormented in his righteous soul by the crimes that he saw and about which he was told day after day.
(Lot was a good man, but because he lived with evil people every day, his good heart was hurt by the evil things he saw and heard.)
(for while he lived among them day after day, that righteous man was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)
That good man lived among them day after day. He saw and heard the evil things they were doing. They were breaking God’s laws. And the godly spirit of Lot was deeply troubled.
(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—
(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) –
(for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—
He saw and heard how the people around him broke the Law. Everyday his own soul which was right with God was troubled because of their sinful ways.
Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.
For he, being righteous, and dwelling among them, was vexed in his righteous soul from day to day, with seeing and hearing their unlawful deeds.
(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by their lawless deeds that he saw and heard),
(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by their lawless deeds that he saw and heard),
(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by their lawless deeds that he saw and heard),
(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by their lawless deeds that he saw and heard),
That righteous man, you see, living in their midst, could see and hear day after day lawless deeds which tortured his righteous soul.
—For that tzaddik, living among them day after day, was tortured in his nefesh hayesharah (honest soul) by the darchei mufkarim (the ways of lawless ones) that he saw and heard
(for he - being righteous and dwelling among them - tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their unlawful deeds) -
(for by what that righteous man saw and heard as he lived among them, he was vexed in his righteous soul day after day with their lawless deeds),
(for by what that righteous man saw and heard as he lived among them, he was vexed in his righteous soul day after day with their lawless deeds),
(For that righteous man, while living among them, was tormented in his righteous soul day after day by lawless deeds he saw and heard.)
(although again He did rescue Lot, a person who did what was right in God’s eyes and who was distressed by the immorality and the lawlessness of the society around him. Day after day, the sights and sounds of their lawlessness were like daggers into that good man’s soul).
(for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds):
That good man lived among the bad people and he saw and heard what they did. Day after day, the bad things they did troubled his heart because he was a good man.
for in sight and hearing he was just, and dwelled amongst them [dwelling with them] that from day into day tormented with wicked works a just soul.
for in seeing and hearing, the righteous man, dwelling among them, day by day the righteous soul with unlawful works was harassing.
