2 Samuel 18:13

Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life; for there is no matter hid from the king, and thou thyself wouldest have set thyself against me.”
Otherwise if I had dealt falsely against his life (and there is no matter hid from the king), then thou thyself wouldest have set thyself against me.
Otherwise, if I had acted treacherously against his life (for nothing is hidden from the king) you yourself would have taken sides against me.”
Otherwise, if I had dealt falsely against his life—for nothing is hidden from the king—you yourself would have taken sides against me.
Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter hid from the king, and thou thyself wouldest have set thyself against me.
If I had jeopardized my own life—and nothing is hidden from the king—you would have abandoned me.”
If I had taken Absalom’s life behind the king’s back then—though nothing is hidden from the king—you would have kept your distance from me.”
Or, if I had pretended that I didn’t know, the king would have known otherwise anyway; and you wouldn’t have interceded for me either.”
He always finds out what's going on. I would have been risking my life to kill Absalom, because you would have let me take the blame.”
Or I should have acted falsely against mine own life, for there is no matter concealed from the king, and thou wouldest have set thyself against [me].
Yea and if I should have acted boldly against my own life, this could not have been hid from the king, and wouldst thou have stood by me?
If I had killed Absalom, the king himself would find out, and you would punish me.”
If I had killed Absalom, my own life would be in danger. The king knows everything that happens! You would not have tried to save me from the king's punishment.’
If I had acted irresponsibly with my life—and nothing is hidden from the king—you would not have stood by me.”
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
If I had ·killed him [betrayed the king by killing his son], ·the king would have found out [and there is nothing hidden from the king], and you would ·not have protected [have kept your distance/aloof from] me!”
If I had done it, it had been the danger of my life: for nothing can be hid from the King: yea, thou thyself wouldest have been against me.
If I had done something treacherous to him, would you have stood by me? Like everything else, it wouldn’t stay hidden from the king.”
But if I had disobeyed the king and killed Absalom, the king would have heard about it—he hears about everything—and you would not have defended me.”
If I had jeopardized my own life—and nothing is hidden from the king—you would have abandoned me.”
If I had killed him, the king would have found out. And you would not have protected me!”
If I had taken his life, the king would have uncovered everything about it, and you would never have protected me!”
Otherwise, I should have wrought falsehood against my own soul (for there is no matter hid from the king), and thou thyself would have set thyself against me.
Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter hid from the king, and thou thyself wouldest have set thyself against me.
Otherwise I should have wrought falsehood against mine own life: for there is no matter hid from the king, and thou thyself wouldest have set thyself against me.
Otherwise, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
If I had dealt treacherously against his life, and there is not any matter hidden from the king, you would have presented yourself aloof.”
And if I had betrayed the king by killing his son (and the king would certainly find out who did it), you yourself would be the first to accuse me.”
The man told Joab, “Even if I’d had a chance at a thousand pieces of silver, I wouldn’t have laid a hand on the king’s son. We all heard the king command you and Abishai and Ittai, ‘For my sake, protect the young man Absalom.’ Why, I’d be risking my life, for nothing is hidden from the king. And you would have just stood there!”
Otherwise, I would have worked falsehood against my own life. For nothing is hidden from the king, and you yourself would have set yourself against me.”
If I had done something treacherous to him, would you have stood by me? Like everything else, it wouldn’t stay hidden from the king.”
Had I been disloyal and killed him, it would all have come out before the king, and you would stand aloof.”
Otherwise, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have avoided me.”
Otherwise, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously with Absalom and thereby placed my life in jeopardy—and nothing is hidden from the king—then you would have dissociated yourself from me.”
If I had killed him, the king would have found out, and you would not have protected me!”
If I had acted at risk of my own life—and nothing is hidden from the king—you would have abandoned me.”
Suppose I had put my life in danger by killing him. The king would have found out about it. Nothing is hidden from him. And you wouldn’t have stood up for me.”
And if I had put my life in jeopardy—and nothing is hidden from the king—you would have kept your distance from me.”
And if I had put my life in jeopardy – and nothing is hidden from the king – you would have kept your distance from me.’
Otherwise I would have dealt falsely against my own life. For there is nothing hidden from the king, and you yourself would have set yourself against me.
If I had gone against his life, there is nothing hidden from the king. And you would not have helped me.”
And if I had betrayed the king by killing his son—and the king would certainly find out who did it—you yourself would be the first to abandon me.”
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.’
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.’
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
Otherwise I should have dealt sheker against mine own nefesh; for there is no matter hid from HaMelech, and thou thyself wouldest have set thyself against me.
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
On the other hand, if I had dealt treacherously against his life (and there is nothing hidden from the king), then you yourself would have stood aloof.”
Otherwise, I would have betrayed his soul—and nothing stays hidden from the king—and you yourself would have stood aloof.”
If I had taken his life despite that, you would stand back and watch as they strung me up. Nothing is hidden from the king.
Otherwise if I had dealt falsely against his life (and there is no matter hidden from the king), then you yourself would have set yourself against me.”
But and though I had done fool hardily against my life (But if I had acted so foolishly against my own life), this might not be hid from the king, and thou wouldest stand on the contrary side.
or I had done against my soul a vain thing, and no matter is hid from the king, and thou -- thou dost station thyself over-against.'
