And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries; but the people who do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

With smooth words [of flattery and praise] he will turn to godlessness those who [are willing to] disregard the [Mosaic] covenant, but the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist].
And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God].
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
With flattery he will corrupt those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action.
By deceitful means he will corrupt those who violate a covenant, but the people who acknowledge their God will stand strong and will act.
Those who act wickedly against the covenant he will corrupt with his blandishments, but the people who know their God will stand firm and prevail.
The king will use deceit to win followers from those who are unfaithful to God, but those who remain faithful will do everything possible to oppose him.
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he pervert by flatteries; but the people that know their God shall be strong, and shall act.
And such as deal wickedly against the covenant shall deceitfully dissemble: but the people that know their God shall prevail and succeed.
“The northern king will use lies and smooth talking to trick those who quit following the holy agreement, so they will sin even worse. But those who know God and obey him will be strong. They will fight back.
The king will deceive the people who are no longer faithful to God. He will make them help him. But the people who are still faithful to God will work hard to stop him.
So he will corrupt wicked men of the covenant with smooth talk, but a people who know their God will be strong and take action.
He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.

“‘One year later he will mount a fresh invasion of the south. But the second invasion won’t compare to the first. When the Roman ships arrive, he will turn tail and go back home. But as he passes through the country, he will be filled with anger at the holy covenant. He will take up with all those who betray the holy covenant, favoring them. The bodyguards surrounding him will march in and desecrate the Sanctuary and citadel. They’ll throw out the daily worship and set up in its place the obscene sacrilege. The king of the north will play up to those who betray the holy covenant, corrupting them even further with his seductive talk, but those who stay courageously loyal to their God will take a strong stand.

He will pretend to praise those who have broken the covenant. He will lead them to do what is evil. But the people who know their God will firmly oppose him.
With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.

Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
He will speak well of those who sin against the agreement. But the people who know their God will show their strength and stand against him.

He will corrupt those who do wickedly against the covenant by flatteries; but the people who know their God will be strong, and take action.
And wicked men shall feign (the) testament guilefully; but the people that knoweth their God shall hold, and do. (And by deceit, or by trickery, he shall get the wicked who have deserted the Holy Covenant to join him; but the people who knoweth their God shall hold fast, or shall hold firm, and do battle.)
And those acting wickedly [against] the covenant, he defileth by flatteries; and the people knowing their God are strong, and have wrought.
