The king then went home to his palace and fasted through the night. No pleasures were brought to him, and he couldn’t sleep.
A stone was brought to block the opening of the pit, and the king sealed it with his own signet and with the signet of his lords, so that nothing concerning Dani’el could be changed.
All night long the king could not sleep. He did not eat anything, and he would not let anyone come in to entertain him.
Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting; neither were concubines brought before him; and his sleep fled from him.
And the king went away to his house and laid himself down without taking supper, and meat was not set before him, and even sleep departed from him.
Then King Darius went back to his house. He did not eat that night. He did not want anyone to come and entertain him. He could not sleep all night.
Then the king returned to his palace. He ate no food. Nobody brought anything to him to give him pleasure. He was unable to sleep.
Then the king went to his palace. He spent the night without food, and no entertainment was brought before him. But he could not sleep.
Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; no diversions were brought to him, and sleep fled from him.

Then the king returned to the palace and spent a sleepless night, without food or any form of entertainment.
Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting. No diversions were brought to him, and he could not sleep.

Then the king retired to his palace to spend the night fasting. He enjoyed no entertainment, and he couldn’t sleep.
¶ Then the king went to his palace and lay down without eating; neither were instruments of music brought before him, and his sleep fled from him.

To forestall any tampering, the king sealed with his own ring and the rings of the lords the stone that had been brought to block the opening of the den.

A stone was then brought forward and placed over the mouth of the pit. The king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles to forestall any tampering in an attempt to rescue Daniel.
Then King Darius went back to his palace. He did not eat that night, he did not have any entertainment brought to him, and he could not sleep.
Then the king departed to his palace. But he spent the night without eating, and no diversions were brought to him. He was unable to sleep.
The king returned to his palace. He didn’t eat anything that night. He didn’t ask for anything to be brought to him for his enjoyment. And he couldn’t sleep.
Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.

Now the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him.
Then the king went to his beautiful house and spent the night without food and sleep. And nothing was brought to make him feel better.
Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night fasting. He refused his usual entertainment and couldn’t sleep at all that night.
Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; no food was brought to him, and sleep fled from him.

The king retired to his palace and spent the night fasting. That evening he stayed to himself, turning down his regular evening musical entertainment. When he finally went to bed, he could not sleep.
Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting. No musical instruments were brought before him; and his sleep fled from him.
Then the king went into his house, and slept without supper, and meats were not brought before him; furthermore and sleep went away from him. (Then the king went back to his palace, and went to bed without any supper, yea, no food was brought before him; but all sleep went away from him.)
Then hath the king gone to his palace, and he hath passed the night fasting, and dahavan have not been brought up before him, and his sleep hath fled [from] off him.
