Again I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun:
Then I returned and saw vanity under the sun.

Once again I saw that nothing on earth makes sense.

Considering I found also another vanity under the sun:
Again I saw something else that didn’t make sense:
I thought about something else on the earth that has no purpose.
I looked again and saw another example of meaningless vapor under the sun:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
·Again I [L I turned and] saw something ·here on earth [L under the sun; 1:3] that was useless [1:2]:
Again I returned, and saw vanity under the sun.
Next, I turned to look at something pointless under the sun:
I have noticed something else in life that is useless.
Again, I saw futility under the sun:
Again I saw something here on earth that was senseless:
Then I turned to re-examine something else that is pointless on earth:
¶ Then I returned, and I saw another vanity under the sun.
Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
Then I looked again at vanity under the sun.
I turned again and saw another vanity under the sun.
I also observed another piece of foolishness around the earth.
I turned my head and saw yet another wisp of smoke on its way to nothingness: a solitary person, completely alone—no children, no family, no friends—yet working obsessively late into the night, compulsively greedy for more and more, never bothering to ask, “Why am I working like a dog, never having any fun? And who cares?” More smoke. A bad business.
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Next, I turned to look at something pointless under the sun:
Again I saw this vanity under the sun:
Then I looked again at futility under the sun.
Then I looked again at vanity under the sun.
Again I observed vanity under the sun:
Again I saw something here on earth that was useless:
So I again considered another futile thing on earth:
Again I saw something on earth that didn’t mean anything.
Again I saw something meaningless under the sun:
Again I saw something meaningless under the sun:
Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun:
Then I looked again at what is of no use under the sun.
I observed yet another example of something meaningless under the sun.
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Then I returned, and I saw under the shemesh this hevel:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Again, I saw vanity under the sun:
Again I saw something futile under the sun:
Again I observed another example of how fleeting life is under the sun:
Then I returned and saw vanity under the sun.
I beheld and found also another vanity under the sun; (I looked and found more emptiness and futility under the sun;)
And I have turned, and I see a vain thing under the sun:
