Ecclesiastes 2:18
Print
Yea, I hated all my labor which I had done under the sun, because I must leave it unto the man who shall be after me.
And I hated all my labor wherein I labored under the sun, seeing that I must leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
So I hated all the fruit (gain) of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will succeed me.
And I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will succeed me.
¶ Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
I hated all my work that I labored at under the sun because I must leave it to the one who comes after me.
I hated the things I worked so hard for here under the sun, because I will have to leave them to someone who comes after me.
I hated all the things for which I had worked under the sun, because I saw that I would have to leave them to the man who will come after me.
Suddenly I realized that others would someday get everything I had worked for so hard, then I started hating it all.
And I hated all my labour wherewith I had been toiling under the sun, because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
Again I hated all my application wherewith I had earnestly laboured under the sun, being like to have an heir after me,
I began to hate all the hard work I had done, because I saw that the people who live after me would get the things that I worked for. I will not be able to take them with me.
I thought about all the hard work that I have done here on the earth. When I die, all the things that I worked so hard to get will belong to the next king. So I hated all my hard work.
I also hated all the results of my hard work, for which I worked so hard under the sun, since I must leave it all to the man who comes after me.
I hated all my toil in which I toil under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will come after me,
I hated all my toil in which I toil under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will come after me,
I hated all the things I had ·worked [toiled] for ·here on earth [L under the sun; 1:3], because I must leave them to someone who will live after me.
I hated also all my labor, wherein I had travailed under the Sun, which I shall leave to the man that shall be after me.
I came to hate everything for which I had worked so hard under the sun, because I will have to leave it to the person who replaces me.
Nothing that I had worked for and earned meant a thing to me, because I knew that I would have to leave it to my successor,
I hated all my work that I labored at under the sun because I must leave it to the man who comes after me.
I hated all the things I had worked for here on earth. I hated them because I must leave them to someone who will live after me.
Then I despised everything I had worked for on earth, that is, the things that I will leave to the person who will succeed me.
Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun, which I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
Thus I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, for I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
So I hated all my toil with which I have toiled under the sun, for I must leave it behind to someone who will be after me.
And I am disgusted about this—that I must leave the fruits of all my hard work to others.
And I hated everything I’d accomplished and accumulated on this earth. I can’t take it with me—no, I have to leave it to whoever comes after me. Whether they’re worthy or worthless—and who’s to tell?—they’ll take over the earthly results of my intense thinking and hard work. Smoke.
And I despised all the toil in which I labored under the sun, which I will give up to the man who comes after me.
I came to hate everything for which I had worked so hard under the sun, because I will have to leave it to the person who replaces me.
And I detested all the fruits of my toil under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who is to come after me.
So I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
Thus I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, for I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
Therefore, I have come to hate all my labor and toil under the sun because I now must bequeath its fruits to my successor.
I hated all the things I had worked for here on earth, because I must leave them to someone who will live after me.
So I loathed all the fruit of my effort, for which I worked so hard on earth, because I must leave it behind in the hands of my successor.
I hated everything I had worked for on earth. I’ll have to leave all of it to someone who lives after me.
I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me.
I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me.
Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
I hated what came from all my work which I had done under the sun. For I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
I came to hate all my hard work here on earth, for I must leave to others everything I have earned.
I hated all my toil in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to those who come after me
I hated all my toil in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to those who come after me
I hated all my toil in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to those who come after me
I hated all my toil in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to my successor,
Yea, I hated all my amal for which I had toiled under the shemesh; because I must leave it unto the adam that shall occupy my place after me.
I hated all my toil in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will come after me;
I hated all my toil in which I had toiled under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will come after me;
I also hated all the fruit of my toil for which I had labored under the sun, because I must leave it to the one who comes after me.
So I began to hate all the hard work I had done under the sun because I would eventually have to leave it all to the one who comes after me.
I hated all my labor in which I labored under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who comes after me.
Again I cursed all my busyness, by which I travailed most studiously under [the] sun; and I shall have an heir after me,
And I have hated all my labour that I labour at under the sun, because I leave it to a man who is after me.
