The wine festival had no established rules, so the king ordered everyone serving wine in the palace to offer as much as each guest wanted.
The drinking was not according to a fixed rule; but the king wished to have it so, and he commanded his stewards to comply with his pleasure and with that of the guests.
This drinking party was not in accordance with established custom, but the king wished to have it so, and he commanded his stewards to comply with his pleasure and with that of the guests.
And drinking was according to the law, no one was compelled; for the king had given orders to all the officials of his palace to do as every man desired.
