Hebrews 2:5
Print
For it was not unto angels that He put in subjection the world to come, of which we speak.
For not unto angels did he subject the world to come, whereof we speak.
It was not to angels that God subjected the [inhabited] world of the future [when Christ reigns], about which we are speaking.
For it was not to angels that God subjected the habitable world of the future, of which we are speaking.
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
For he has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about.
God didn’t put the world that is coming (the world we are talking about) under the angels’ control.
For it was not to angels that God subjected the ‘olam haba — which is what we are talking about.
We know that God did not put the future world under the power of angels.
For he has not subjected to angels the habitable world which is to come, of which we speak;
For He did not subject to angels the coming world concerning which we are speaking.
For God hath not subjected unto angels the world to come, whereof we speak.
God did not choose angels to be the rulers over the new world that was coming. That future world is the world we have been talking about.
We are speaking about the new world that will come. God did not choose angels to rule over that world.
For God did not place the coming world, about which we are speaking, under the control of angels.
For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.
Now it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.
[L For] God did not ·choose angels to be the rulers of the new world that was coming [L subject the world to come to angels], which is what we have been talking about.
For he hath not put in subjection unto the Angels the world to come, whereof we speak.
He didn’t put the world that will come (about which we are talking) under the angels’ control.
God has not placed the angels as rulers over the new world to come—the world of which we speak.
For He has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about.
God did not choose angels to be the rulers of the new world that was coming. It is that future world we have been talking about.
For he did not put the coming world we are talking about under the control of angels.
For though in past ages God did grant authority to angels, yet he did not put the future world of men under their control, and it is this world that we are now talking about.
¶ For unto the angels he has not subjected the world to come, of which we speak.
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking.
For he did not subject to angels the world to come, about which we are speaking.
And the future world we are talking about will not be controlled by angels.
God didn’t put angels in charge of this business of salvation that we’re dealing with here. It says in Scripture, What is man and woman that you bother with them; why take a second look their way? You made them not quite as high as angels, bright with Eden’s dawn light; Then you put them in charge of your entire handcrafted world. When God put them in charge of everything, nothing was excluded. But we don’t see it yet, don’t see everything under human jurisdiction. What we do see is Jesus, made “not quite as high as angels,” and then, through the experience of death, crowned so much higher than any angel, with a glory “bright with Eden’s dawn light.” In that death, by God’s grace, he fully experienced death in every person’s place.
For it was not to the angels that He has subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.
Now it was not to angels that God subjected the world · to come, about which we are speaking.
He didn’t put the world that will come (about which we are talking) under the angels’ control.
For it was not to angels that he subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.
For He did not subject to angels the world to come, about which we are speaking.
For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking.
For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
God did not choose angels to be the rulers of the new world that was coming, which is what we have been talking about.
For he did not put the world to come, about which we are speaking, under the control of angels.
God has not put angels in charge of the world that is going to come. We are talking about that world.
It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels.
God did not make angels to be the leaders of that world to come which we have been speaking about.
And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about.
It is not to the angels that he has put in subjection the world to come, of which we speak.
Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to angels.
Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to angels.
Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to angels.
Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to angels.
You see, God didn’t place the world to come (which is what I’m writing about) under the control of angels.
For Hashem did not subject the Olam Habah, about which we are speaking, to malachim.
For He has not put the world to come (whereof we speak) in subjection to the angels.
For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.
For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.
For it is not to angels that God has subjected the olam ha-ba—about which we speak.
Now clearly God didn’t set up the heavenly messengers to bring the final word or to rule over the world that is coming.
For he didn’t subject the world to come, of which we speak, to angels.
God did not put the next world under angels for them to rule over. That is the world we are talking about.
But not to angels God subjected the world that is to coming [Forsooth not to angels God subjected the roundness of the earth to come], of which we speak.
For not to messengers did He subject the coming world, concerning which we speak,
