Hosea 2:1
Print
“Say ye unto your brethren, ‘Ammi’ [that is, My people], and to your sisters, ‘Ruhamah’ [that is, Having obtained mercy].
Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
“[Hosea,] say to your brothers, ‘Ammi (you are my people),’ and to your sisters, ‘Ruhamah (you have been pitied and have obtained mercy).’
[Hosea], say to your brethren, Ammi [or You-are-my-people], and to your sisters, Ruhamah [or You-have-been-pitied-and-have-obtained-mercy].
Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
Call your brothers: My People and your sisters: Compassion.
Say to your brother, My People, and to your sister, Compassion:
“Nevertheless, the people of Isra’el will number as many as the grains of sand by the sea, which cannot be measured or counted; so that the time will come when, instead of being told, ‘You are not my people,’ it will be said to them, ‘You are the children of the living God.’
So let your brothers be called “My People” and your sisters be called “Shown Mercy.”
Say unto your brethren Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
Say ye to your brethren: You are my people, and to your sister: Thou hast obtained mercy.
“Then you will say to your brothers, ‘You are my people,’ and you will say to your sisters, ‘He has shown mercy to you.’”
Then you will tell your brothers, ‘Ammi: you are my people.’ You will tell your sisters, ‘Ruhamah: he loves you.’
Say to your brothers, “My people,” and to your sisters, “She has been shown mercy.”
Say to your brothers, “You are my people,” and to your sisters, “You have received mercy.”
Say to your brothers, “You are my people”, and to your sisters, “You have received mercy.”
“You are to call your brothers, ‘my people [L Ammi; 1:9],’ and your sisters, ‘you have been shown pity [L Ruhama; 1:6–8].’
1 The people is called to repentance. 5 He showeth their idolatry and threateneth them except they repent. Say unto your brethren, Ammi, and to your sisters, Ruhamah,
“So call your brothers Ammi [My People], and call your sisters Ruhamah [Loved].
So call your fellow Israelites “God's People” and “Loved-by-the-Lord.”
Call your brothers: My People and your sisters: Compassion.
“Your brothers and your sisters will be called ‘my people’ and ‘you have been shown love.’
So call your brothers ‘Ammi,’ and your sisters ‘Ruhamah.’”
¶ Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
Say to your brothers, “Ammi,” and to your sisters, “Ruhamah.”
Say to your brother, “Ammi,” and to your sister, “Ruhamah.”
“O Jezreel, rename your brother and sister. Call your brother Ammi (which means ‘Now you are mine’); name your sister Ruhamah (‘Pitied’), for now God will have mercy upon her!
“Rename your brothers ‘God’s Somebody.’ Rename your sisters ‘All Mercy.’
Say to your brothers, Ammi, and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
“So call your brothers Ammi [My People], and call your sisters Ruhamah [Loved].
The number of the Israelites will be like the sand of the sea, which can be neither measured nor counted. Instead of being told, “You are Not-My-People,” They will be called, “Children of the living God.”
Say to your brothers, “Ammi,” and to your sisters, “Ruhamah.”
Say to your brothers, “Ammi,” and to your sisters, “Ruhamah.”
The Israelites will be as numerous as the sands of the sea, which can be neither measured nor numbered. And in the very place where it was said to them, “You are not my people,” they will be called, “Children of the Living God.”
“You are to call your brothers, ‘my people,’ and your sisters, ‘you have been shown pity.’
Then you will call your brother, “My People” (Ammi)! You will call your sister, “Pity” (Ruhamah)!
“People of Israel, call your brothers ‘My people.’ And call your sisters ‘My loved ones.’
“Say of your brothers, ‘My people,’ and of your sisters, ‘My loved one.’
‘Say of your brothers, “My people”, and of your sisters, “My loved one”.
Say to your brethren, ‘My people,’ And to your sisters, ‘Mercy is shown.
“Say to your brothers, ‘My people,’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one.’
“In that day you will call your brothers Ammi—‘My people.’ And you will call your sisters Ruhamah—‘The ones I love.’
Say to your brother, Ammi, and to your sister, Ruhamah.
Say to your brother, Ammi, and to your sister, Ruhamah.
Say to your brother, Ammi, and to your sister, Ruhamah.
Say to your brothers, “Ammi,” and to your sisters, “Ruhamah.”
Say ye unto your achim, Ami (My people); and to your achayot, Ruchamah (Pitied).
Say to your brother, “My people,” and to your sister, “She has obtained pity.”
Say to your brother, “My people,” and to your sister, “She has obtained pity.”
“Yet the number of Bnei-Yisrael will be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or counted. Instead of ‘You are not My people’ being said to them, they will be called ‘Children of the living God.’
Eternal One (to the future reunited people): Give your brothers a new name: My People; and give your sisters a new name too: Shown Mercy.
“Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’
Say ye to your brethren, They be my people; and to your sister(s), That (that) hath gotten mercy, (Say ye to your brothers, They be Ammi, or My People; and to your sisters, Ruhamah, or Ye be loved.)
`Say ye to your brethren -- Ammi, And to your sisters -- Ruhamah.
