Even in your homes you have placed pagan symbols all around your huge beds. Yes, you have rejected me, sold yourselves to your lovers, and gone to bed with them.

And behind the door, and behind the post thou hast set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself near me, and hast received an adulterer: thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made a covenant with them: thou hast loved their bed with open hand.
You hide the things that help you remember me behind the doors and doorframes. You were with me, but you got up to go to them. You spread out your bed and gave yourself to them. You love their beds and enjoy looking at their naked bodies.
You put your images behind the doors of your rooms. Then you turn your backs to me, and you get into bed with your false gods. You have made an agreement with them. You pay money to have sex with your lovers. You love to see their bare bodies.
Behind the door and doorpost you placed your memorial. Yes, you deserted me and uncovered yourself. You climbed right into bed. You made room for them in your bed. You committed yourself to them. You loved their bed. You stared at their bodies.

You’ve set up your idols beside doors and doorposts. You’ve uncovered yourself to the idols. You’ve distanced yourself from me. You’ve made your bed with them. You’ve made a deal with those you have pleasure with in bed. You’ve seen them naked.
You set up your obscene idols just inside your front doors. You forsake me; you take off your clothes and climb in your large beds with your lovers, whom you pay to sleep with you. And there you satisfy your lust.

“But you, children of a witch, come here! Sons of a slut, daughters of a whore. What business do you have taunting, sneering, and sticking out your tongue? Do you have any idea what wretches you’ve turned out to be? A race of rebels, a generation of liars. You satisfy your lust any place you find some shade and fornicate at whim. You kill your children at any convenient spot— any cave or crevasse will do. You take stones from the creek and set up your sex-and-religion shrines. You’ve chosen your fate. Your worship will be your doom. You’ve climbed a high mountain to practice your foul sex-and-death religion. Behind closed doors you assemble your precious gods and goddesses. Deserting me, you’ve gone all out, stripped down and made your bed your place of worship. You’ve climbed into bed with the ‘sacred’ whores and loved every minute of it, adoring every curve of their naked bodies. You anoint your king-god with ointments and lavish perfumes on yourselves. You send scouts to search out the latest in religion, send them all the way to hell and back. You wear yourselves out trying the new and the different, and never see what a waste it all is. You’ve always found strength for the latest fad, never got tired of trying new religions.
Behind the doors and the doorposts you have set up your memorial; far removed from Me, you have uncovered yourself; you have enlarged your bed and made a covenant with them; you have loved their bed, you have looked on their nakedness.
