“I have stirred up Cyrus and put him into action in righteousness [to accomplish My purpose] And I will make all his ways smooth; He will build My city and let My exiles go, Without any payment or reward,” says the Lord of hosts.
I will raise [Cyrus] up in righteousness [willing in every way that which is right and proper], and I will direct all his ways; he will build My city, and he will let My captives go, not for hire or for a bribe, says the Lord of hosts.
I have done the right thing by placing Cyrus in power, and I will make the roads easy for him to follow. I am the Lord All-Powerful! Cyrus will rebuild my city and set my people free without being paid a thing. I, the Lord, have spoken.
I myself will arouse him in righteousness, and I will make all his roads level for him. He himself will rebuild my city. He will set my exiles free— but not for a price and not for a gift, says the Lord of Armies.
I will ·bring [raise/stir up] ·Cyrus [L him; 44:28] ·to do good things [or for my righteous purpose; in my righteousness], and I will make his ·work easy [ways/paths straight]. He will rebuild my city and set my ·people [L exiles] free without any payment or ·reward [gift; or bribe]. The Lord ·All-Powerful [Almighty; of Heaven’s Armies; T of hosts] says this.”
I myself have stirred Cyrus to action to fulfill my purpose and put things right. I will straighten out every road that he travels. He will rebuild my city, Jerusalem, and set my captive people free. No one has hired him or bribed him to do this.” The Lord Almighty has spoken.
I will bring Cyrus to do good things. And I will make his work easy. Cyrus will rebuild my city, and he will set my people free. Cyrus has not been paid to do these things. The Lord of heaven’s armies says this.”
“I have aroused him in righteousness, and I’ll make all his pathways smooth. It is he who will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price nor reward, ” says the Lord of the Heavenly Armies.
Thus God, The Holy of Israel, Israel’s Maker, says: “Do you question who or what I’m making? Are you telling me what I can or cannot do? I made earth, and I created man and woman to live on it. I handcrafted the skies and direct all the constellations in their turnings. And now I’ve got Cyrus on the move. I’ve rolled out the red carpet before him. He will build my city. He will bring home my exiles. I didn’t hire him to do this. I told him. I, God-of-the-Angel-Armies.” * * *
It is me—I stir him up and commission him; I will make all his ways level. He will rebuild my city; he will send my exiled people home, but not for a price or a bribe,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
I will stir up Cyrus and help him win his battles. I will make all his roads straight. He will rebuild Jerusalem. My people have been taken away from their country. But he will set them free. I will not pay him to do it. He will not receive a reward for it,” says the Lord who rules over all.
I will raise up Cyrus to fulfill my righteous purpose, and I will guide his actions. He will restore my city and free my captive people— without seeking a reward! I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”
I have aroused him [Cyrus] in tzedek, and I will make straight all the darkhei of him; he shall rebuild my city, and he shall release of the Golus of Mine, not for price nor reward, saith Hashem Tzva’os.
I am the one who raised him up in righteousness! I will make all his paths straight and level. He will build my city and release my exiled people, not because he was bribed or hired to do it, declares the Almighty Yahweh!”
So it was perfectly right for me to raise up Cyrus; I will make his road ahead straight and level, So that he will rebuild My chosen place, My city Jerusalem, and set My exiled people free Without exacting a price or seeking a bribe. So says the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies.
I raised him to rightfulness, and I shall (ad)dress all his ways; he shall build (again) my city, and he shall deliver my prisoners, not in price, neither in gifts, saith the Lord of hosts. (I raised him up unto righteousness, and I shall direct all his ways; and he shall rebuild my city, and he shall rescue my prisoners, and not for price, and neither for gifts, saith the Lord of hosts.)
