Jeremiah 3:24

For shame hath devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth — their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
But the shameful thing hath devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But the shameful act [of idolatry] has consumed the labor of our fathers since our youth—their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
[We have been ruined as a nation by our faithlessness and idolatry] for the shameful thing has consumed all for which our fathers toiled from our youth—their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
From the time of our youth the shameful one has consumed what our ancestors have worked for— their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
From our youth, shame has devoured the fruit of our parents’ labor— their flocks and herds, as well as their sons and daughters.
But from our youth the shameful thing [idolatry] has devoured the fruit of our ancestors’ work, their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
Since the days of our ancestors when our nation was young, that shameful god Baal has taken our crops and livestock, our sons and daughters.
But shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Confusion hath devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
That terrible false god Baal has eaten everything our fathers owned. This has happened since we were children. That terrible false god took our fathers’ sheep and cattle and their sons and daughters.
Since we were a young nation, we have seen all our good things disappear. The useless gods that we worshipped have taken them. They took away the things that our ancestors worked to get. They took away our sheep and our cows. They even took away our sons and our daughters.
Since our younger days, shameful gods have consumed the results of our fathers’ hard work, their sheep and cattle, and their sons and daughters.
“But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our fathers labored, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our fathers laboured, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Since our youth, shameful things [C false gods] have eaten up everything our ·ancestors [fathers] worked for— their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
For confusion hath devoured our father’s labor, from our youth, their sheep and their bullocks, their sons and their daughters.
Ever since we were young, the shameful worship ⌞of Baal⌟ has taken everything our ancestors worked for, their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
But the worship of Baal, the god of shame, has made us lose flocks and herds, sons and daughters—everything that our ancestors have worked for since ancient times.
From the time of our youth the shameful one has consumed what our fathers have worked for— their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Since we were young, shameful gods have eaten up in sacrifice everything our fathers worked for. The shameful gods have taken our fathers’ sheep and cattle. They have taken our fathers’ sons and daughters.
Since our youth the false gods have consumed the products of our ancestors’ hard work, their sheep and their cattle, their sons and their daughters.
For shame has devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth: their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But the shameful thing has devoured the labor of our fathers since our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
But the shameful thing has devoured the labor of our ancestors from our youth, their flocks, and their cattle, their sons and their daughters.
From our childhood we have seen everything our fathers had—flocks and herds and sons and daughters—squandered on priests and idols.
The sound of voices comes drifting out of the hills, the unhappy sound of Israel’s crying, Israel lamenting the wasted years, never once giving her God a thought. “Come back, wandering children! I can heal your wanderlust!” * * * “We’re here! We’ve come back to you. You’re our own true God! All that popular religion was a cheap lie, duped crowds buying up the latest in gods. We’re back! Back to our true God, the salvation of Israel. The Fraud picked us clean, swindled us of what our ancestors bequeathed us, Gypped us out of our inheritance— God-blessed flocks and God-given children. We made our bed and now lie in it, all tangled up in the dirty sheets of dishonor. All because we sinned against our God, we and our fathers and mothers. From the time we took our first steps, said our first words, we’ve been rebels, disobeying the voice of our God.” * * *
For shame has devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Ever since we were young, the shameful worship of Baal has taken everything our ancestors worked for, their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
The shameful thing has devoured our ancestors’ worth from our youth, Their sheep and cattle, their sons and daughters.
“But the shame has consumed the product of our fathers’ labor since our youth—their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But the shameful thing has consumed the labor of our fathers since our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Ever since we were young, Baal has devoured everything for which our fathers toiled: their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Since our youth, shameful gods have eaten up in sacrifice everything our ancestors worked for— their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
From earliest times our worship of that shameful god, Baal, has taken away all that our ancestors worked for. It has taken away our flocks and our herds and even our sons and daughters.
From our earliest years shameful gods have harmed us. They have eaten up everything our people of long ago worked for. They have eaten up our flocks and herds. They’ve destroyed our sons and daughters.
From our youth shameful gods have consumed the fruits of our ancestors’ labor— their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
From our youth shameful gods have consumed the fruits of our ancestors’ labour – their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters.
For shame has devoured The labor of our fathers from our youth— Their flocks and their herds, Their sons and their daughters.
But false gods have brought us shame and have destroyed what our fathers worked for since we were young, their flocks and cattle, their sons and their daughters.
From childhood we have watched as everything our ancestors worked for— their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters— was squandered on a delusion.
‘But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our ancestors had laboured, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
‘But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our ancestors had laboured, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our ancestors had labored, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our ancestors had labored, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
For HaBoshet (the Shame, i.e., the Ba’al fertility cult false religion) hath devoured the labor of Avoteinu from ne’ureinu (our youth): their tzon and their bakar, their banim and their banot.
“But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our fathers labored, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
“But from our youth the shameful thing has devoured all for which our fathers labored, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
But the shame has consumed the labor of our fathers since our youth— their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Everything our parents worked for—their livestock and even their families—has been devoured by the worship of the shameful god.
But the shameful thing has devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
Shame ate the travail of our fathers, from our youth; shame ate the flocks of them, and the droves of them, the sons of them, and the daughters of them. (From our early days, Baal, the god of shame ate the fruits of our forefathers’ labours; yea, the god of shame ate their flocks, and their herds, and their sons, and their daughters.)
And the shameful thing hath devoured The labour of our fathers from our youth, Their flock and their herd, Their sons and their daughters.
