Jeremiah 5:4
Therefore I said, “Surely these are poor, they are foolish; for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.
Then I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish; for they know not the way of Jehovah, nor the law of their God:
Then I said, “[Surely] these are only the poor (uneducated); They are [sinfully] foolish and have no [spiritual] understanding, For they do not know the way of the Lord Or the ordinance of their God [and the requirements of His just and righteous law].
Then I said, Surely these are only the poor; they are [sinfully] foolish and have no understanding, for they know not the way of the Lord, the judgment (the just and righteous law) of their God.
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.
Then I thought: They are just the poor; they have been foolish. For they don’t understand the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.
Then I thought to myself, These are the poor who don’t know better! They don’t understand the Lord’s way or the justice of their God.
My reaction was, “These must be the poor, the foolish, not knowing the way of Adonai or the rulings of their God.
Then I thought to myself, “These common people act like fools, and they have never learned what the Lord their God demands of them.
And I said, Surely these are the wretched ones, they are foolish; for they know not the way of Jehovah, the judgment of their God.
But I said: Perhaps these are poor and foolish, that know not the way of the Lord, the judgement of their God.
But I said to myself, “It must be only the poor who are so foolish. They have not learned the way of the Lord. They don’t know the teachings of their God.
I thought, ‘These are poor, foolish people. They do not understand what the Lord wants them to do. They do not know his commands.
Then I said: These are only the poor. They are foolish, because they do not know the way of the Lord and the just verdict of their God.
Then I said, “These are only the poor; they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.
Then I said, “These are only the poor; they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.
But I thought, “These are only the poor, ·foolish people [L they have no sense]. They ·have not learned [L do not know] the ·way [path] of the Lord and ·what their God wants them to do [L the ordinances/judgments of their God].
Therefore I said, Surely they are poor, they are foolish, for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.
I thought, “These are poor, foolish people. They don’t know the way of the Lord and the justice that God demands.
Then I thought, “These are only the poor and ignorant. They behave foolishly; they don't know what their God requires, what the Lord wants them to do.
Then I thought: They are just the poor; they have played the fool. For they don’t understand the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.
But I thought, “These are only the poor, foolish people. They have not learned the way of the Lord. They do not know what their God wants them to do.
Then I said, “These are only the poor, they’re foolish, for they don’t know the Lord’s way, the requirement of their God.
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they have become foolish; for they do not know the way of the LORD nor the judgment of their God.
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.
Then I said, “They are only the poor; They are foolish; For they do not know the way of Yahweh Or the legal judgment of their God.
Then I said, “They are just simple people, they are foolish, for they know not the way of Yahweh, the law of their God.
Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor and ignorant? They don’t know the ways of God. How can they obey him?”
But you, God, you have an eye for truth, don’t you? You hit them hard, but it didn’t faze them. You disciplined them, but they refused correction. Hardheaded, harder than rock, they wouldn’t change. Then I said to myself, “Well, these are just poor people. They don’t know any better. They were never taught anything about God. They never went to prayer meetings. I’ll find some people from the best families. I’ll talk to them. They’ll know what’s going on, the way God works. They’ll know the score.” But they were no better! Rebels all! Off doing their own thing. The invaders are ready to pounce and kill, like a mountain lion, a wilderness wolf, Panthers on the prowl. The streets aren’t safe anymore. And why? Because the people’s sins are piled sky-high; their betrayals are past counting.
Therefore I said, “Surely these are the poor. They are foolish; for they know not the way of the Lord or the judgment of their God.
I thought, “These are poor, foolish people. They don’t know the way of Yahweh and the justice that Elohim demands.
I thought: These are only the lowly, they behave foolishly; For they do not know the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.
Then I said, “They are only the poor, They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the Lord Or the judgment of their God.
Then I said, “They are only the poor, They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the Lord Or the ordinance of their God.
Then I thought, “These are only the poor; they tend to act foolishly. For they do not know the way of the Lord or the ordinances of their God.
But I thought, “These are only the poor, foolish people. They have not learned the way of the Lord and what their God wants them to do.
I thought, “Surely it is only the ignorant poor who act this way. They act like fools because they do not know what the Lord demands. They do not know what their God requires of them.
I thought, “The people of Jerusalem are foolish. They don’t know how the Lord wants them to live. They don’t know what their God requires of them.
I thought, “These are only the poor; they are foolish, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.
I thought, ‘These are only the poor; they are foolish, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.
Therefore I said, “Surely these are poor. They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the Lord, The judgment of their God.
Then I said, “They are only the poor. They are foolish. For they do not know the way of the Lord or the Law of their God.
Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor? They are ignorant. They don’t know the ways of the Lord. They don’t understand God’s laws.
Then I said, ‘These are only the poor, they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Then I said, ‘These are only the poor, they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Then I said, “These are only the poor, they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Then I said, “These are only the poor; they have no sense, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish; for they know not the Derech Hashem, nor the Mishpat Eloheihem.
Then I said, “These are only the poor, they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Then I said, “These are only the poor, they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Then I said: These are only the poor. They are foolish. For they do not know the way of Adonai, the ordinance of their God.
And I thought to myself, “How could they know any better? They are poor and senseless people, unfamiliar with the ways of the Eternal, Unaware of what their God requires.
Then I said, “Surely these are poor. They are foolish; for they don’t know Yahweh’s way, nor the law of their God.
Forsooth I said, In hap they be poor men, and fools, that know not the way of the Lord, and the doom of their God. (And I said, Perhaps they be the poor, and the foolish, and they do not know the way of the Lord, and the judgement, or the justice, of their God.)
And I -- I said, `Surely these [are] poor, They have been foolish, For they have not known the way of Jehovah, The judgment of their God.
