“I know in truth it is so, but how should man be just before God?

Yes, I know what you’ve said is true, but how can a person be justified before God?
I know for certain that this is so; and how can anyone be innocent before God?
“Indeed, I know that this is so; but how can a human win a case against God?
What you say is true. No human is innocent in the sight of God.
Of a truth I know it is so; but how can man be just with God?
Indeed I know it is so, and that man cannot be justified compared with God.
“Of course, I know that this is true. But how can a human being win an argument with God?
‘The things that you have said are true. But nobody can show God that he is completely good.
Of course I know that this is true. But how can a man be justified before God?
“Truly I know that it is so: But how can a man be in the right before God?
“Truly I know that it is so: But how can a man be in the right before God?
“·Yes [Truly], I know that this [C Zophar’s point that God punishes the wicked] is ·true [correct], but how can anyone be ·right [righteous; vindicated] in the presence of God?
I know verily that it is so: for how should man compared unto God, be justified?
“Yes, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be declared righteous to God?
Yes, I've heard all that before. But how can a human being win a case against God?
Yes, I know what you’ve said is true, but how can a person be justified before God?
“Yes, I know that this is true. But how can man be right in the presence of God?
“Indeed, I’m fully aware that this is so, but how can a person become right with God?
I know it is so of a truth, but how shall a man be justified with God?
I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
“In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right before God?
“Truly I know that it is so, but how can a human being be just before God?
“Yes, I know all that. You’re not telling me anything new. But how can a man be truly good in the eyes of God?
Job continued by saying: “So what’s new? I know all this. The question is, ‘How can mere mortals get right with God?’ If we wanted to bring our case before him, what chance would we have? Not one in a thousand! God’s wisdom is so deep, God’s power so immense, who could take him on and come out in one piece? He moves mountains before they know what’s happened, flips them on their heads on a whim. He gives the earth a good shaking up, rocks it down to its very foundations. He tells the sun, ‘Don’t shine,’ and it doesn’t; he pulls the blinds on the stars. All by himself he stretches out the heavens and strides on the waves of the sea. He designed the Big Dipper and Orion, the Pleiades and Alpha Centauri. We’ll never comprehend all the great things he does; his miracle-surprises can’t be counted. Somehow, though he moves right in front of me, I don’t see him; quietly but surely he’s active, and I miss it. If he steals you blind, who can stop him? Who’s going to say, ‘Hey, what are you doing?’ God doesn’t hold back on his anger; even dragon-bred monsters cringe before him.

“Yes, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be declared righteous to El?
I know well that it is so; but how can anyone be in the right before God?
“In truth I know that this is so; But how can a person be in the right with God?
“In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right before God?
“Indeed, I realize that this is true, but how can anyone claim to be righteous before God?
“Yes, I know that this is true, but how can anyone be right in the presence of God?
“Truly, I know that this is so. But how can a human be just before God?
“I’m sure that what you have said is true. But how can human beings prove to God they are not guilty?
“Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can mere mortals prove their innocence before God?
‘Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can mere mortals prove their innocence before God?
“Truly I know it is so, But how can a man be righteous before God?
“Yes, I know this is true. But how can a man be right and good before God?
“Yes, I know all this is true in principle. But how can a person be declared innocent in God’s sight?
‘Indeed I know that this is so; but how can a mortal be just before God?
‘Indeed I know that this is so; but how can a mortal be just before God?
“Indeed I know that this is so; but how can a mortal be just before God?
“Indeed, I know that this is so, but how can a mortal be just before God?
I know it is indeed thus, but how should yitzdak Enosh im El (Man be in the right, justified, before G-d)?
“Truly I know that it is so: But how can a man be just before God?
“Truly I know that it is so: But how can a man be just before God?
“Truly I know it is so, but how can one be righteous before God?
Job: Sure, I know all of this is correct, but tell me this: how can a person set things straight with God?
“Truly I know that it is so, but how can man be just with God?
Verily I know, that it is so, and that a man comparisoned to God shall not be made just. (Truly I know, that this is so, and that a man shall not be seen as just, when compared to God.)
Truly I have known that [it is] so, And what -- is man righteous with God?
