He teareth himself in his anger. Shall the earth be forsaken for thee? And shall the rock be removed out of his place?
Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, Shall the earth be forsaken for thee? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?
“You who tear yourself apart in anger, Is the earth to be abandoned for your sake, Or the rock to be moved out of its place?
You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you, or the rock be removed out of its place?
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
You who tear yourself in anger— should the earth be abandoned on your account, or a rock be removed from its place?
To you who tear yourself in rage— will earth be forsaken for your sake, a rock be dislodged from its place?
You can tear yourself to pieces in your anger, but the earth won’t be abandoned just for your sake; not even a rock will be moved from its place.
You cut yourself in anger. Will that shake the earth or even move the rocks? *
Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?
Thou that destroyest thy soul in thy fury, shall the earth be forsaken for thee, and shall rocks be removed out of their place?
Your anger is hurting no one but you. Do you think this world was made for you alone? Do you think God should move mountains just to satisfy you?
You are so angry that you are hurting yourself. You will never change the way that things happen in the world. Your anger will not cause the earth to shake, or any rocks to move from their places.
You, who tear yourself to pieces with your anger, do you expect the earth to be made desolate for your sake? Should rocks be moved from their place for you?
You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you, or the rock be removed out of its place?
You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you, or the rock be removed out of its place?
You tear ·yourself [your life] to pieces in your anger. Should the earth be vacant ·just for [or because of] you? Should the rocks move from their places [14:18]?
Thou art as one that teareth his soul in his anger. Shall the earth be forsaken for thy sake? or the rock removed out of his place?
Why do you rip yourself apart in anger? Should the earth be abandoned for your sake or a boulder be dislodged?
You are only hurting yourself with your anger. Will the earth be deserted because you are angry? Will God move mountains to satisfy you?
You who tear yourself in anger— should the earth be abandoned on your account, or a rock be removed from its place?
You tear yourself to pieces in your anger. Does everyone have to leave the earth just for you? Do the rocks have to be moved from their place for you?
You’re tearing yourself to pieces in your anger. Will the land be abandoned because of you, or the rock be moved from its place?”
O thou that dost tear thy soul in thine anger; shall the earth be forsaken because of thee and shall the rocks be removed out of their place?

Just because you tear your clothes in anger, is this going to start an earthquake? Shall we all go and hide?
Bildad from Shuhah chimed in: “How monotonous these word games are getting! Get serious! We need to get down to business. Why do you treat your friends like slow-witted animals? You look down on us as if we don’t know anything. Why are you working yourself up like this? Do you want the world redesigned to suit you? Should reality be suspended to accommodate you?
You who tear yourself in anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? And will the rock be removed from its place?
Why do you rip yourself apart in anger? Should the earth be abandoned for your sake or a boulder be dislodged?
You who tear yourself in your anger— shall the earth be neglected on your account or the rock be moved out of its place?

You speak of how God “tears at you,” you! You tear at yourself in your rage. Oh, how self-centered you are! Ought the earth be emptied of its inhabitants for your sake? Ought the rocks roll away for your convenience?

What, or why, losest thou thy soul in thy strong vengeance? Whether the earth shall be forsaken for thee, and hard stones shall be borne over from their place, (just for thee)?
