“If I have despised the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant when they contended with me,
If I have despised the cause of my man-servant or of my maid-servant, When they contended with me;
“If I have despised and rejected the claim of my male or female servants When they filed a complaint against me,
If I have despised and rejected the cause of my manservant or my maidservant when they contended or brought a complaint against me,
If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
If I have dismissed the case of my male or female servants when they made a complaint against me,
If I’ve rejected the just cause of my male or female servant when they contended with me,
“If I ever rejected my slave or slave-girl’s cause, when they brought legal action against me;
When my servants complained against me, I was fair to them.
If I have despised the cause of my bondman or of my bondmaid, when they contended with me,
If I have despised to abide judgment with my manservant, or my maidservant, when they had any controversy against me:
“If I refused to be fair to my slaves when they had a complaint against me,
When my servants complain against me, I have always been fair to them.
If I have denied justice to my male servants or to my female servants in their disputes with me,
“If I have rejected the cause of my manservant or my maidservant, when they brought a complaint against me,
“If I have rejected the cause of my manservant or my maidservant, when they brought a complaint against me,
“If I ·have been unfair to [L reject proper judgment for] my male and female slaves when they had a ·complaint [case] against me,
If I did contemn the judgment of my servant, and of my maid, when they did contend with me,
“If I have abused the rights of my servants, male or female, when they have disagreed with me,
When any of my servants complained against me, I would listen and treat them fairly.
If I have dismissed the case of my male or female servants when they made a complaint against me,
“I have been fair to my male and female slaves when they had a complaint against me.
“If I’ve refused to help my male and female servants when they complain against me,
If I had despised the right of my manslave or of my maidslave, when they contended with me;
If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
“If I have rejected the justice of my male or female slaves When they filed a complaint against me,
“If I have rejected my male or female slave’s case when their complaint was against me,
“If I have been unfair to my servants,
“Have I ever been unfair to my employees when they brought a complaint to me? What, then, will I do when God confronts me? When God examines my books, what can I say? Didn’t the same God who made me, make them? Aren’t we all made of the same stuff, equals before God?
“If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant when they complained against me,
“If I have abused the rights of my servants, male or female, when they have disagreed with me,
Had I refused justice to my manservant or to my maidservant, when they had a complaint against me,

“Suppose I haven’t treated any of my male and female servants fairly when they’ve brought charges against me.
“If I have denied justice to any of my servants, whether male or female, when they had a grievance against me,
‘If I have denied justice to any of my servants, whether male or female, when they had a grievance against me,
“If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant When they complained against me,
“If I did not listen to my men servants and women servants when they complained against me,
“If I have been unfair to my male or female servants when they brought their complaints to me,
‘If I have rejected the cause of my male or female slaves, when they brought a complaint against me;
‘If I have rejected the cause of my male or female slaves, when they brought a complaint against me;
“If I have rejected the cause of my male or female slaves, when they brought a complaint against me;
“If I have rejected the cause of my male or female slaves, when they brought a complaint against me,
If I did despise the mishpat (cause) of my eved or of my amah, when they contended with me,
“If I have rejected the cause of my manservant or my maidservant, when they brought a complaint against me;

“If I have denied justice to my male or female servant when they disputed with me,
If I have refused justice to my servants—either male or female— when they have had cause for dispute with me,
“If I have despised the cause of my male servant or of my female servant, when they contended with me,
If I despised to take doom with my servant and with mine handmaid, when they strived against me. (If I despised to do justly with my slave, or with my slave-girl, when they complained against me,)
