Men do therefore fear Him; He respecteth not any that are wise of heart.”

And so we humans fear God, because he shows no respect for those who are proud and think they know so much.

Therefore men shall fear him, and all that seem to themselves to be wise, shall not dare to behold him.
That is why people fear and respect him. He shows no respect for those who think they are wise.”
So people respect God with fear. He does not listen to those who think that they are wise.’
Therefore men should revere him, because he has regard for all those who are wise in heart.
Therefore men fear him; he does not regard any who are wise in their own conceit.”

That is why people ·honor [fear] him; ·he does not respect those who say they are wise [or all the wise of heart fear him].”
Let men therefore fear him: for he will not regard any that are wise in their own conceit.

No wonder, then, that everyone is awed by him, and that he ignores those who claim to be wise.

Men, therefore, shall fear him; all the crafty of heart shall not see him.

“Mighty God! Far beyond our reach! Unsurpassable in power and justice! It’s unthinkable that he’d treat anyone unfairly. So bow to him in deep reverence, one and all! If you’re wise, you’ll most certainly worship him.”
