Will He plead against me with His great power? No, but He would put strength in me.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me.
“Would He contend against me with His great power? No, surely He would give attention to me.
Would He plead against me with His great power? No, He would give heed to me.

Would he prosecute me forcefully? No, he would certainly pay attention to me.
Would he contend with me through brute force? No, he would surely listen to me.
Would he browbeat me with his great power? No, he would pay attention to me.
Would he overwhelm me with his greatness? No! He would listen
Would he plead against me with [his] great power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me.
I would not that he should contend with me with much strength, nor overwhelm me with the weight of his greatness.
Would God use his power against me? No, he would listen to me!
Would God use his great power to argue against me? No! He would listen carefully to me.
Would he use his great power to press charges against me? No, he will certainly give me a hearing.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; he would pay attention to me.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; he would pay attention to me.
Would he not ·argue [present his case] ·strongly [L with great power] against me? No, he would really listen to me.
Would he plead against me with his great power? No, but he would put strength in me.
Would he sue me and hide behind great legal maneuvers? No, he certainly would press charges against me.
Would God use all his strength against me? No, he would listen as I spoke.
Would He prosecute me forcefully? No, He will certainly pay attention to me.
He would not come against me with great power. He would really listen to me.
“Would he use his great power to fight me? No, he’ll pay attention to me.
Will he plead against me with his great power? No, but rather he would put it in me.
Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
Would He contend with me by the greatness of His power? No, surely He would pay attention to me.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his strength? No, but he himself would give heed to me.
Would he merely overpower me with his greatness? No, he would listen with sympathy.
Job replied: “I’m not letting up—I’m standing my ground. My complaint is legitimate. God has no right to treat me like this— it isn’t fair! If I knew where on earth to find him, I’d go straight to him. I’d lay my case before him face-to-face, give him all my arguments firsthand. I’d find out exactly what he’s thinking, discover what’s going on in his head. Do you think he’d dismiss me or bully me? No, he’d take me seriously. He’d see a straight-living man standing before him; my Judge would acquit me for good of all charges.
Will He plead against me with His great power? No! But He would take note of me.
Would he sue me and hide behind great legal maneuvers? No, he certainly would press charges against me.
Would he contend against me with his great power? No, he himself would heed me!
Would He contend with me by the greatness of His power? No, surely He would pay attention to me.

He would not use his power to contend with me; he would only need to consider my arguments.
Would he not argue strongly against me? No, he would really listen to me.
Would he contend with me with great power? No, he would only pay attention to me.
Would he strongly oppose me? No. He wouldn’t bring charges against me.
Would he vigorously oppose me? No, he would not press charges against me.
Would he vigorously oppose me with great power? No, he would not press charges against me.
Would He contend with me in His great power? No! But He would take note of me.
Would He go against me using His great power? No, He would listen to me.
Would he use his great power to argue with me? No, he would give me a fair hearing.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; but he would give heed to me.
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; but he would give heed to me.

Would He oppose me merely with His great power? Surely not! Surely He would show me the respect of listening to my argument.

I will not, that he strive with me by great strength, neither that he oppress me with the heaviness of his greatness. (I do not desire, that he fight me with his great strength, nor oppress me with his great might, or his great power.)
In the abundance of power doth He strive with me? No! surely He putteth [it] in me.
