Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

Egypt and Edom were cruel and brutal to Judah, without a reason. Now their countries will become a barren desert,

Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom a wilderness destroyed: because they have done unjustly against the children of Juda, and have shed innocent blood in their land.
Egypt will be empty. Edom will be an empty wilderness, because they were cruel to the people of Judah. They killed innocent people in their country.
But Egypt will be empty, and Edom will become a desert. They attacked the people in Judah, and they killed them for no good reason.
Egypt will be desolate. Edom will be a desolate wilderness, because of violence they committed against the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood.
“Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the people of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

But Egypt will ·become empty [be desolate], and Edom an ·empty desert [deserted wilderness], because ·they were cruel [of their violence] to the ·people [L sons; descendants] of Judah. They ·killed innocent people [L shed innocent blood] in that land.
Egypt shall be waste, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the injuries of the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
Egypt will become a wasteland. Edom will become a barren desert. This is because the nations were cruel to Judah. They murdered innocent people in their land.
“Egypt will become a desert, and Edom a ruined waste, because they attacked the land of Judah and killed its innocent people.
Egypt will become desolate, and Edom a desert wasteland, because of the violence done to the people of Judah in whose land they shed innocent blood.
But Egypt will become empty. And Edom will become an empty desert. This is because they were cruel to the people of Judah. They killed innocent people in the land of Judah.

“What a day! Wine streaming off the mountains, Milk rivering out of the hills, water flowing everywhere in Judah, A fountain pouring out of God’s Sanctuary, watering all the parks and gardens! But Egypt will be reduced to weeds in a vacant lot, Edom turned into barren badlands, All because of brutalities to the Judean people, the atrocities and murders of helpless innocents. Meanwhile, Judah will be filled with people, Jerusalem inhabited forever. The sins I haven’t already forgiven, I’ll forgive.” God has moved into Zion for good.
