Many of His disciples therefore, when they had heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can hear it?”
Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it?
When many of His disciples heard this, they said, “This is a difficult and harsh and offensive statement. Who can [be expected to] listen to it?”
When His disciples heard this, many of them said, This is a hard and difficult and strange saying (an offensive and unbearable message). Who can stand to hear it? [Who can be expected to listen to such teaching?]
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
Therefore, when many of his disciples heard this, they said, “This teaching is hard. Who can accept it?”
Many of his disciples who heard this said, “This message is harsh. Who can hear it?”
On hearing it, many of his talmidim said, “This is a hard word — who can bear to listen to it?”
Many of Jesus' disciples heard him and said, “This is too hard for anyone to understand.”
Many therefore of his disciples having heard [it] said, This word is hard; who can hear it?
Then many of His disciples, having heard, said, “This statement is hard. Who can hear it?”
These things he said, teaching in the synagogue, in Capharnaum.
When Jesus’ followers heard this, many of them said, “This teaching is hard. Who can accept it?”
Many of Jesus' disciples did not like these words. They said, ‘This thing that he teaches is too difficult. Nobody can agree with it!’
When they heard it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching! Who can listen to it?”
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?”
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?”
When the ·followers [disciples; C a broader circle of followers, not the twelve disciples] of Jesus heard this, many of them said, “This teaching [C that Jesus is the bread of life; 6:25–59] is ·hard [difficult; offensive]. Who can ·accept [obey; L hear] it?”
Many therefore of his disciples (when they heard this) said, This is an hard saying: who can hear it?
When many of Jesus’ disciples heard him, they said, “What he says is hard to accept. Who wants to listen to him anymore?”
Many of his followers heard this and said, “This teaching is too hard. Who can listen to it?”
Therefore, when many of His disciples heard this, they said, “This teaching is hard! Who can accept it?”
The followers of Jesus heard this. Many of them said, “This teaching is hard. Who can accept it?”
When many of his disciples heard this, they said, “This is a difficult statement. Who can accept it?”
Jesus said all these things while teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. Many of his disciples heard him say these things, and commented, “This is hard teaching indeed; who could accept that?”

Many among his disciples heard this and said, “This is tough teaching, too tough to swallow.”
When they heard this, many of His disciples said, “This is a hard saying. Who can listen to it?”
Therefore, when a number of his disciples heard · it, they said, “This teaching is difficult; · who can understand it?”
When many of Yeshua’s disciples heard him, they said, “What he says is hard to accept. Who wants to listen to him anymore?”
Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?”
So then many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This statement is very unpleasant; who can listen to it?”
Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, “This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?”
After hearing his words, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard saying. Who can accept it?”
When the followers of Jesus heard this, many of them said, “This teaching is hard. Who can accept it?”
Then many of his disciples, when they heard these things, said, “This is a difficult saying! Who can understand it?”

Many of his disciples heard it. They said, `This is a hard teaching. Who can listen to it?'
Therefore many of his disciples hearing [this], said, This word is hard, who may hear it?
