And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, “Perhaps ye dwell among us. Then how shall we make a league with you?”
And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a covenant with you?
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you are living within our land; how then can we make a covenant (treaty) with you?”
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, Perhaps you live among us; how then can we make a covenant with you?
And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?
The men of Israel replied to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How can we make a treaty with you?”
Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How then could we make a treaty with you?”
The men of Isra’el said to the Hivi, “How do we know that you don’t live here among us? If you do, we don’t want to make a covenant with you.”
The Israelites replied, “But maybe you really live near us. We can't make a peace treaty with you if you live nearby.” The Gibeonites said, “If you make a peace treaty with us, we will be your servants.” “Who are you?” Joshua asked. “Where do you come from?” They answered:
And the men of Israel said to the Hivite, Perhaps thou dwellest in the midst of us, and how should I make a covenant with thee?
Perhaps you dwell in the land which falls to our lot; if so, we can make no league with you.
The men of Israel said to these Hivite men, “Maybe you are trying to trick us. Maybe you live near us. We cannot make a peace agreement with you until we know where you are from.”
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, ‘Perhaps you live near to us. So we could not make a promise not to fight against you.’
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How can we make a treaty with you?”
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a covenant with you?”
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a covenant with you?”
The ·Israelites [men of Israel] said to these Hivites, “Maybe you live near us. How can we make a peace ·agreement [covenant; treaty] with you [Deut. 20:10–18]?”
Then the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, It may be that thou dwellest among us, how then can I make a league with thee?
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “What if you’re living in this area? We wouldn’t be able to make a treaty with you.”
But the Israelites said, “Why should we make a treaty with you? Maybe you live nearby.”
The men of Israel replied to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How can we make a treaty with you?”
The men of Israel said to these Hivites, “Maybe you live near us. How can we make a peace agreement with you?”
But the Israelis responded to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live in our midst. If this is so, how can we make a treaty with you?”
And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us, and how shall we make a covenant with you?
And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?
And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?
Then the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you are living within our land; how then shall we cut a covenant with you?”
And the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you are living among us; how can we make a covenant with you?”
The Israelis replied to these Hivites, “How do we know you don’t live nearby? For if you do, we cannot make a treaty with you.”
The men of Israel said to these Hivites, “How do we know you aren’t local people? How could we then make a covenant with you?”
Then the children of Israel said to these Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us, so how could we make a pact with you?”
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “What if you’re living in this area? We wouldn’t be able to make a treaty with you.”
But the Israelites replied to the Hivites, “You may be living in land that is ours. How, then, can we make a covenant with you?”
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you are living within our land; how then are we to make a covenant with you?”
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you are living within our land; how then shall we make a covenant with you?”
The Israelites said to the Hivites, “Maybe you actually live among us, how could we make a covenant with you?”
The Israelites said to these Hivites, “Maybe you live near us. How can we make a peace agreement with you?”
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live near us. So how can we make a treaty with you?”
The Israelites said to the Hivites, “But suppose you live close to us. If you do, we can’t make a peace treaty with you.”
The Israelites said to the Hivites, “But perhaps you live near us, so how can we make a treaty with you?”
The Israelites said to the Hivites, ‘But perhaps you live near us, so how can we make a treaty with you?’
Then the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you dwell among us; so how can we make a covenant with you?”
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “It may be that you are living within our land. How then can we make an agreement with you?”
The Israelites replied to these Hivites, “How do we know you don’t live nearby? For if you do, we cannot make a treaty with you.”
But the Israelites said to the Hivites, ‘Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a treaty with you?’

But the Israelites said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a treaty with you?”
But the Israelites said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a treaty with you?”
And the Ish Yisroel said unto the Chivi (Hivites), Perhaps ye dwell among us; how then shall we cut a brit with you?
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a covenant with you?”
But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a covenant with you?”
Then the men of Israel said to the Hivites: “Perhaps you are living among us. How then should we make a covenant with you?”
Israelites: How can we make a treaty with you? How do we know you aren’t from around here?
The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “What if you live among us? How could we make a covenant with you?”
And the men of Israel answered to them, and said, Lest peradventure ye dwell in the land, which is due to us by heritage, and we may not make bond of peace with you. (And the Israelites answered, and said to them, Agreed, unless ye live in the land that is due to us by inheritance, and then we cannot make a covenant with you.)
and the men of Israel say unto the Hivite, `It may be in our midst ye are dwelling, and how do we make with thee a covenant?'
