Everyone in the surrounding countryside welcomed him with wreaths, dancing, and drums.
Then he came down from the mountains with horsemen, in great power, and made himself master of every city, and all the inhabitants of the land.
The people in the towns and in the surrounding countryside welcomed Holofernes by wearing wreaths of flowers and dancing to the beat of drums.
The people of these cities and all the inhabitants of the countryside received him with garlands and dancing to the sound of timbrels.
The people of these cities and all the inhabitants of the surrounding countryside welcomed him with garlands and dancing to the sound of tambourines.
