Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz. The cup also shall pass through unto thee; thou shalt be drunken and shalt make thyself naked.

Rejoice and be glad, O Daughter of Edom, Who lives in the land of Uz. But the cup [of the wine of God’s wrath] will pass to you as well; You will become drunk and make yourself naked.

¶ Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
So rejoice and be glad, Daughter Edom, you resident of the land of Uz! Yet the cup will pass to you as well; you will get drunk and expose yourself.
Rejoice and be happy, Daughter Edom, you who live in the land of Uz. But this cup will pass over to you too. You will get drunk on it. You will be stripped naked.
Rejoice, be glad, daughter of Edom, who lives in the land of ‘Utz. To you too the cup will pass; you will get drunk and strip yourself naked!
You people of Edom can celebrate now! But your time will come to suffer and stagger around naked.
Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz: the cup shall pass also unto thee; thou shalt be drunken, and make thyself naked.
Sin. Rejoice, and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Hus: to thee also shall the cup come, thou shalt be made drunk, and naked.
Be happy, people of Edom. Be happy, you who live in the land of Uz. But remember, the cup of the Lord’s anger will come around to you too. When you drink from that cup, you will get drunk and strip off all your clothes.
You, Edom's people, live in the country called Uz. And you are happy now. But at a future time, God will hurt you too. The enemy will take away everything that you have. So you will become like drunks.
Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Edom, who dwells in the land of Uz. A cup will also come to you. You will become drunk and naked.

Be happy and ·glad [rejoice], ·people [L daughter] of Edom, you who live in the land of Uz [C city in Edom; Job 1:1; Jer. 25:20]. The cup [C of God’s judgment] will ·come [pass] to you; then you will get drunk and go naked [Jer. 25:15–38; 49:12–13].
Rejoice and be glad, O daughter Edom: that dwellest in the land of Uz, the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken and vomit.
“Rejoice and be glad, people of Edom, inhabitants of the country of Uz. The cup ⌞of the Lord’s fury⌟ will be passed to you next. You’ll get drunk and take off all your clothes.
Laugh on, people of Edom and Uz; be glad while you can. Your disaster is coming too; you too will stagger naked in shame.
So rejoice and be glad, Daughter Edom, you resident of the land of Uz! Yet the cup will pass to you as well; you will get drunk and expose yourself.
Be happy and glad, people of Edom, you who live in the land of Uz. But the Lord’s anger is like a cup of wine that you also will have to drink. Then you will get drunk on it and make yourselves naked.
Celebrate and rejoice, you women of Edom, who live in the land of Uz. But to you the cup also will pass— you will become drunk and stripped naked.

Do you rejoice, O people of Edom, in the land of Uz? But you, too, will feel the awful anger of the Lord.
Celebrate while you can, O Edom! Live it up in Uz! For it won’t be long before you drink this cup, too. You’ll find out what it’s like to drink God’s wrath, Get drunk on God’s wrath and wake up with nothing, stripped naked.

Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Edom, who dwells in the land of Uz. The cup will pass through to you also. You will be drunken, and will make yourself naked.
