Letter of Jeremiah 33

Whether one treats them badly or well, the gods aren’t able to repay in kind. They aren’t able to install or remove a ruler.
The priests take some of the clothing of their gods to clothe their wives and children.
Whether one does evil to them or good, they will not be able to repay it. They cannot set up a king or depose one.
The priests take some of the clothing of their gods to clothe their wives and children.
(And the) Priests take away the clothes of them, and clothe their wives, and their children.
