Letter of Jeremiah 48

When war or disasters come, the priests consult with each other about where they may hide along with the idols.
For when war or calamity comes upon them, the priests consult together as to where they can hide themselves and their gods.
How then can one fail to see that these are not gods, for they cannot save themselves from war or calamity?
For when war or calamity comes upon them, the priests consult together as to where they can hide themselves and their gods.
For why when battles and evils come on them, priests think, where they shall hide themselves with those. [For why when battle shall above come to them, and evil things, priests think, where they shall hide themselves with them.]
