It is obvious to us that the idols aren’t gods. So don’t be afraid of them.
The wild animals are better than they are, for they can flee to shelter and help themselves.
So we have no evidence whatever that they are gods; therefore do not fear them.
The wild beasts are better than they are, for they can flee to cover and help themselves.
Beasts that may (or be able to) fly under a roof, and do profit to themselves, be better than they. [Beasts be better than they, which may fly under a roof, and profit to themselves.]
