Letter of Jeremiah 7
Print
A carpenter smooths out the tongues of the idols. They are covered in gold and silver, but they are fake and unable to speak.
For my angel is with you, and he is watching over your lives.
Their tongues are smoothed by the carpenter, and they themselves are overlaid with gold and silver, but they are false and cannot speak.
For my angel is with you, and he is watching your lives.
Forsooth mine angel is with you, but (or and) I shall seek your souls. [Forsooth mine angel is with you, forsooth I myself shall seek out your souls.]
