And all those who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What manner of child shall this be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all that heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, What then shall this child be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.
All who heard these things kept them in mind, saying, “What then will this little boy turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was certainly with him [to bring about his birth].
And all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, Whatever will this little boy be then? For the hand of the Lord was [so evidently] with him [protecting and aiding him].
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
All who heard about him took it to heart, saying, “What then will this child become?” For, indeed, the Lord’s hand was with him.
All who heard about this considered it carefully. They said, “What then will this child be?” Indeed, the Lord’s power was with him.
Everyone who heard of them said to himself, “What is this child going to be?” For clearly the hand of Adonai was with him.
Everyone who heard about this wondered what this child would grow up to be. They knew the Lord was with him.
And all who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, What then will this child be? And [the] Lord's hand was with him.
And all the ones having heard it put these matters in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” For indeed, the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all they that had heard them laid them up in their heart, saying: What an one, think ye, shall this child be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.
Everyone who heard about these things wondered about them. They thought, “What will this child be?” They could see that the Lord was with him.
Everyone who heard about these things thought about them. They asked each other, ‘When this child becomes a man, what will he be?’ They could see that God really was with him.
And everyone who heard this took it to heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” Clearly, the hand of the Lord was with him.
and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.
and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.
The people who heard about them ·wondered [L kept/pondered them in their hearts], saying, “What will this child [turn out to] be?” because the [L hand of the; C a metaphor for empowering presence] Lord was with him.
And all they that heard them, laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner child shall this be! and the hand of the Lord was with him.
Everyone who heard about it seriously thought it over and asked, “What does the future hold for this child?” It was clear that the Lord was with him.
Everyone who heard of it thought about it and asked, “What is this child going to be?” For it was plain that the Lord's power was upon him.
All who heard about him took it to heart, saying, “What then will this child become?” For, indeed, the Lord’s hand was with him.
The people who heard about these things wondered about them. They thought, “What will this child be?” They said this because the Lord was with him.
Everyone who heard about it kept thinking what had happened and asked, “What will this child become?” because it was obvious that the hand of the Lord was with him.
“But none of your relations is called John,” they replied. And they made signs to his father to see what name he wanted the child to have. He beckoned for a writing-tablet and wrote the words, “His name is John”, which greatly surprised everybody. Then his power of speech suddenly came back, and his first words were to thank God. The neighbours were awe-struck at this, and all these incidents were reported in the hill-country of Judea. People turned the whole matter over in their hearts, and said, “What is this child’s future going to be?” For the Lord’s blessing was plainly upon him.
And all those that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, Who shall this child be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all who heard these things put them in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was indeed with him.
And all those who heard kept these things in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be? For indeed the hand of the Lord was with him!”
And everyone who heard about it thought long thoughts and asked, “I wonder what this child will turn out to be? For the hand of the Lord is surely upon him in some special way.”
A deep, reverential fear settled over the neighborhood, and in all that Judean hill country people talked about nothing else. Everyone who heard about it took it to heart, wondering, “What will become of this child? Clearly, God has his hand in this.”
All those who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What kind of child will he be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.

Everyone who heard about it seriously thought it over and asked, “What does the future hold for this child?” It was clear that the Lord was with him.

Everyone who heard this wondered about it. And because the Lord was with John, they asked, “What is this child going to be?”
Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.
Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, ‘What then is this child going to be?’ For the Lord’s hand was with him.
And all those who heard them kept them in their hearts, saying, “What kind of child will this be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all who heard those words remembered them and said, “What is this child going to be?” For the hand of the Lord was on him.
Everyone who heard about it reflected on these events and asked, “What will this child turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was surely upon him in a special way.
and everyone who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child will this be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.
All who heard them pondered them and said, ‘What then will this child become?’ For, indeed, the hand of the Lord was with him.

Everyone who heard about it turned the matter over in their hearts. “What then will this child become?” they said. And the Lord’s hand was with him.
All who heard these things pondered them in their levavot, saying, What then will this yeled become? For, indeed, the yad Hashem was on him. [BERESHIS 39:2]
And all those who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What kind of child shall this be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.
and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.
and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.
Everyone who heard pondered these things in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child become?” For the hand of Adonai was on him.
People were certain that God’s hand was on this child, and they wondered what sort of person John would turn out to be when he became a man.
All who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” The hand of the Lord was with him.
All those who heard them thought much about them. They said, `What will this child be some day?' They said this because the power of the Lord was with him.
And all men that heard putted in their heart, and said, What manner child shall this be? For the hand of the Lord was with him. [And all men that heard put in their heart, saying, Who guessest thou, this child shall be? And soothly the hand of the Lord was with him.]
and all who heard did lay them up in their hearts, saying, `What then shall this child be?' and the hand of the Lord was with him.
