Luke 2:23
(as it is written in the law of the Lord: “Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”),

As it is written in the Law of the Lord, Every [firstborn] male that opens the womb shall be set apart and dedicated and called holy to the Lord—

just as the Law of the Lord says, “Each first-born baby boy belongs to the Lord.”

As it is written in the law of the Lord: Every male opening the womb shall be called holy to the Lord:
It is written in the law of the Lord: “When a mother’s first baby is a boy, he shall be called ‘special for the Lord.’”
This is the rule which the Lord gave to his people: ‘The first male baby born to a woman belongs to me. So you must bring him to me.

They did exactly what was written in the Lord’s Teachings: “Every firstborn boy is to be set apart as holy to the Lord.”

It is written in the law of the Lord: “Give every firstborn male to the Lord.”
as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn son is to be designated as holy to the Lord.”
When the “purification” time, stipulated by the Law of Moses, was completed, they brought Jesus to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. This was to fulfil a requirement of the Law—‘Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord’.

for in these laws God had said, “If a woman’s first child is a boy, he shall be dedicated to the Lord.”
Then when the days stipulated by Moses for purification were complete, they took him up to Jerusalem to offer him to God as commanded in God’s Law: “Every male who opens the womb shall be a holy offering to God,” and also to sacrifice the “pair of doves or two young pigeons” prescribed in God’s Law.

In the Law of the Lord it says, “The first boy born in every family must be set apart for the Lord.” (Exodus 13:2,12)

It is written in the Law of the Lord, “The first-born male born of a woman will be called holy to the Lord.”
The law of the Lord says, “If a woman’s first child is a boy, he must be dedicated to the Lord.”

That’s what the law of the Lord says: “Every firstborn male shall be called holy to the Lord.”
As it has been written in the Torat Hashem, KHOL ZAKHAR opening the RECHEM KODESH to Hashem [SHEMOT 13:2,12,15; BAMIDBAR 3:13]

They were fulfilling the Lord’s requirement that “every firstborn Israelite male will be dedicated to the Eternal One as holy.”

This is what is written in the law of the Lord: `Every boy who is the first child of his mother will be holy for the Lord.'
