And he came into all the country about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
And he came into all the region round about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins;
And he went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sin;
And he went into all the country round about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance (of hearty amending of their ways, with abhorrence of past wrongdoing) unto the forgiveness of sin.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
He went into all the vicinity of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
John went throughout the region of the Jordan River, calling for people to be baptized to show that they were changing their hearts and lives and wanted God to forgive their sins.
He went all through the Yarden region proclaiming an immersion involving turning to God from sin in order to be forgiven.
So John went along the Jordan Valley, telling the people, “Turn back to God and be baptized! Then your sins will be forgiven.”
And he came into all the district round the Jordan, preaching [the] baptism of repentance for [the] remission of sins,
And he went into all the surrounding-region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
And he came into all the country about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of penance for the remission of sins;
So he went through the whole area around the Jordan River and told the people God’s message. He told them to be baptized to show that they wanted to change their lives, and then their sins would be forgiven.
John went to many places near the Jordan River and spoke a message from God. ‘You have done many wrong things,’ he taught everybody. ‘You must turn away from them and change how you live. Then God will forgive you and I will baptize you.’
He went into the whole region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And he went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And he went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
He went all over the ·area [country; region] around the Jordan River preaching a baptism of ·changed hearts and lives [repentance] for the forgiveness of sins.
And he came into all the coasts about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
John traveled throughout the region around the Jordan River. He told people about a baptism of repentance  for the forgiveness of sins.
So John went throughout the whole territory of the Jordan River, preaching, “Turn away from your sins and be baptized, and God will forgive your sins.”
He went into all the vicinity of the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
He went all over the area around the Jordan River and preached to the people. He preached a baptism of changed hearts and lives for the forgiveness of their sins.
John went throughout the entire Jordan region, proclaiming a baptism about repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
In the fifteenth year of the reign of the Emperor Tiberius (a year when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea Herod tetrarch of Galilee, Philip, his brother, tetrarch of the territory of Iturea and Trachonitis and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene while Annas and Caiaphas were the High Priests) the word of God came to John, the son of Zacharias, while he was in the desert. He went into the whole country round about the Jordan proclaiming baptism as a mark of a complete change of heart and of the forgiveness of sins, as the book of the prophet Isaiah says—‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill brought low; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God’.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins;
And he went into all the surrounding region of the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
Then John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan River, preaching that people should be baptized to show that they had turned to God and away from their sins, in order to be forgiven.
In the fifteenth year of the rule of Caesar Tiberius—it was while Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea; Herod, ruler of Galilee; his brother Philip, ruler of Iturea and Trachonitis; Lysanias, ruler of Abilene; during the Chief-Priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas—John, Zachariah’s son, out in the desert at the time, received a message from God. He went all through the country around the Jordan River preaching a baptism of life-change leading to forgiveness of sins, as described in the words of Isaiah the prophet: Thunder in the desert! “Prepare God’s arrival! Make the road smooth and straight! Every ditch will be filled in, Every bump smoothed out, The detours straightened out, All the ruts paved over. Everyone will be there to see The parade of God’s salvation.”
He came into the region surrounding the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
And he went into the region all around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

He journeyed throughout the entire region of the Jordan valley, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
He went all over the area around the Jordan River preaching a baptism of changed hearts and lives for the forgiveness of sins.
He went into all the region around the Jordan River, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
He went into all the countryside around the Jordan River. There he preached that people should be baptized and turn away from their sins. Then God would forgive them.
He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
He went into all the country around the Jordan River. He preached that people should be baptized because they were sorry for their sins and had turned from them, and they would be forgiven.
Then John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan River, preaching that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.
And he came into all the country about the Jordan River preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
He went through all the region of the Jordan, announcing a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And Yochanan went into all the surrounding region of the Yarden preaching a tevilah of teshuva for the selichat avon,
And he came into all the regions around Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
and he went into all the region about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
and he went into all the region about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And he came into all the surrounding region of the Jordan, proclaiming an immersion of repentance for the removal of sins.
John brought this divine message to all those who came to the Jordan River. He preached that people should be ritually cleansed through baptism as an expression of changed lives for the forgiveness of sins.
He came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
Then John went to all the country around the Jordan River. He told the people to stop doing wrong things, turn back to God and be baptised. And God would forgive them for the wrong things they did.
And he came into all the country of Jordan, and preached [preaching] baptism of penance into remission of sins.
and he came to all the region round the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of reformation -- to remission of sins,
