Finally, some men stood up and lied about him. They said,
And certain persons rose up and bore false witness against him, saying,
And some, having stood up, were giving false testimony against Him, saying
And some rising up, bore false witness against him, saying:
Then some others stood up and told more lies against Jesus. They said,
Then some men stood up and they said something false against Jesus.
Some stood up and gave this false testimony against him:
And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying,
And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying,
Then some people stood up and ·lied [gave false testimony] about Jesus, saying,
Then there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him. They said,
Then some men stood up and told this lie against Jesus:
Some stood up and were giving false testimony against Him, stating,
Then some men stood up and lied about Jesus. They said,
Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, saying,
So they marched Jesus away to the High Priest in whose presence all the chief priests and elders and scribes had assembled. (Peter followed him at a safe distance, right up to the High Priest’s courtyard. There he sat in the firelight with the servants, keeping himself warm.) Meanwhile, the chief priests and the whole council were trying to find some evidence against Jesus which would warrant the death penalty. But they failed completely. There were plenty of people ready to give false testimony against him, but their evidence was contradictory. Then some more perjurers stood up and said, “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this Temple that was built by human hands and in three days I will build another made without human aid.’”
And there arose some that bore false witness against him, saying,

Finally some men stood up to lie about him and said,
The high priests conspiring with the Jewish Council looked high and low for evidence against Jesus by which they could sentence him to death. They found nothing. Plenty of people were willing to bring in false charges, but nothing added up, and they ended up canceling each other out. Then a few of them stood up and lied: “We heard him say, ‘I am going to tear down this Temple, built by hard labor, and in three days build another without lifting a hand.’” But even they couldn’t agree exactly.
Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying,

Some took the stand and testified falsely against him, alleging,
And then some stood up and began giving false testimony against Him, saying,
Some stood up and began to give false testimony against Him, saying,
Then some stood up and gave this false witness against him:
Then some people stood up and lied about Jesus, saying,
Some stood up and gave this false testimony against him:
Then some of them stood up. Here is what those false witnesses said about him.

And some, taking the stand, were giving edut sheker (false testimony) against him:
Then some of them arose and bore false witness against Him, saying,

Some gave the following distorted testimony:
Some stood up, and gave false testimony against him, saying,
Then some stood up to talk against Jesus.
