But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.”
But when the fruit is ripe, straightway he putteth forth the sickle, because the harvest is come.
But when the crop ripens, he immediately puts in the sickle [to reap], because [the time for] the harvest has come.”
But when the grain is ripe and permits, immediately he sends forth [the reapers] and puts in the sickle, because the harvest stands ready.

When the new seeds have completely grown, the man will cut down the plants. It is time for him to take the seeds to use for food.’

The earth produces a crop without any help from anyone: first a blade, then the ear of corn, then the full-grown grain in the ear. And as soon as the crop is ready, he sends his reapers in without delay, for the harvest-time has come.”

Then Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows—he has no idea how it happens. The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain. When the grain is fully formed, he reaps—harvest time!
But when the grain is ripe, immediately he applies the sickle because the harvest has come.”
