And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and secure you.”

And if the governor (Pilate) hears about it, we will calm him down and keep you out of trouble.”
And if the governor hears of it, we will appease him and make you safe and free from trouble and care.
And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
If this reaches the governor’s ears, we will deal with him and keep you out of trouble.”
And if the governor hears about this, we will take care of it with him so you will have nothing to worry about.”
If the governor hears of it, we will put things right with him and keep you from getting in trouble.”
If the governor hears about this, we will talk to him. You won't have anything to worry about.”
And if this should come to the hearing of the governor, *we* will persuade him, and save *you* from all anxiety.
And if this should be heard before the governor, we will persuade him. And we will make you free-from-concern”.
And if the governor shall hear this, we will persuade him, and secure you.
If the governor hears about this, we will talk to him and keep you out of trouble.”
If the Roman ruler Pilate hears about this, we will explain things to him. Do not be afraid. He will not punish you.’
If the governor hears about it, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”

And if this matter come before the governor to be heard, we will persuade him, and so use the matter that you shall not need to care,

And if the Governor should hear of this, we will convince him that you are innocent, and you will have nothing to worry about.”
If this reaches the governor’s ears, we will deal with him and keep you out of trouble.”

If this is reported to the governor, we’ll personally persuade him to keep you out of trouble.”
And while they were on their way, some of the sentries went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. They got together with the elders, and after consultation gave the soldiers a considerable sum of money and told them, “Your story must be that his disciples came after dark, and stole him away while you were asleep. If by any chance this reaches the governor’s ears, we will put it right with him and see that you do not suffer for it.” So they took the money and obeyed their instructions. The story was spread and is current among the Jews to this day.
And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you secure.

“If the governor hears about it,” the Council promised, “we’ll stand up for you and everything will be all right.”
Meanwhile, the guards had scattered, but a few of them went into the city and told the high priests everything that had happened. They called a meeting of the religious leaders and came up with a plan: They took a large sum of money and gave it to the soldiers, bribing them to say, “His disciples came in the night and stole the body while we were sleeping.” They assured them, “If the governor hears about your sleeping on duty, we will make sure you don’t get blamed.” The soldiers took the bribe and did as they were told. That story, cooked up in the Jewish High Council, is still going around. * * *
If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will satisfy him and keep you secure.”
And if this should come to the governor’s ears, we will bribe him and keep you out of trouble.”
They added, “If the governor hears about it, we’ll take care of it, and you’ll have nothing to worry about.”
And if this gets to the ears of the governor, we will satisfy [him] and keep you out of trouble.”
And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and keep you out of trouble.”
And if this should come to the governor’s ears, we will win him over and keep you out of trouble.”
And should the governor hear anything in this regard, we will explain the situation to him and you will be safe.”
If the governor hears about this, we will satisfy him and save you from trouble.”
If this matter is heard before the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
If the governor hears this report, we will pay him off. That will keep you out of trouble.”
If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.’
And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.”
We will see that you do not get into trouble over this if Pilate hears about it.”
If the governor hears about it, we’ll stand up for you so you won’t get in trouble.”
And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and keep you out of trouble.
If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.’

The chief priests promised the soldiers they would run interference with the governor so that the soldiers wouldn’t be punished for falling asleep when they were supposed to be keeping watch.
If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”
If the ruler hears about this, then we will talk to him so that he will not punish you.'
And if this be heard of the justice [And if this be heard of the president, or justice], we shall counsel him, and make you secure.
and if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.'
