They refused to obey, and didn’t remember the wonders that you accomplished in their midst. They acted arrogantly and decided to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, merciful and compassionate, very patient, and truly faithful. You didn’t forsake them.
they refused to listen and paid no attention to the wonders you had done among them. No, they stiffened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a leader to return them to their slavery. But because you are a God of forgiveness, merciful, full of compassion, slow to grow angry and full of grace, you did not abandon them.
But, our God, you are merciful and quick to forgive; you are loving, kind, and very patient. So you never turned away from them—

But thou, a forgiving God, gracious, and merciful, longsuffering, and full of compassion, didst not forsake them.
They refused to listen. They forgot the amazing things you did with them. They became stubborn. They decided to return to Egypt and become slaves again. “But you are a forgiving God! You are kind and full of mercy. You are patient and full of love. So you didn’t leave them!
They refused to obey you. They forgot about all the miracles that you had done to help them. Instead, they turned against you. They chose a leader to take them back to Egypt, where they had been slaves. But you are a God who forgives people. You are kind to people. You are slow to get angry and your love for your people always continues. So you did not leave your people alone.
So they refused to listen, and they did not remember your wonders that you did for them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God who is forgiving, merciful, and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in mercy. So you did not abandon them.

But they, our ancestors, were arrogant; bullheaded, they wouldn’t obey your commands. They turned a deaf ear, they refused to remember the miracles you had done for them; They turned stubborn, got it into their heads to return to their Egyptian slavery. And you, a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, Incredibly patient, with tons of love— you didn’t dump them. Yes, even when they cast a sculpted calf and said, “This is your god Who brought you out of Egypt,” and continued from bad to worse, You in your amazing compassion didn’t walk off and leave them in the desert. The Pillar of Cloud didn’t leave them; daily it continued to show them their route; The Pillar of Fire did the same by night, showed them the right way to go.

But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in kindness, and did not forsake them.

Instead of following You, They appointed their own leader to take them back to the land of their oppression—to Egypt! But You are not like us, God. You are filled with love, compassion, and forgiveness. You endure much with your anger and display Your loyal love; You did not abandon them,
