And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, “Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

¶ And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
But Moses asked the Gadites and Reubenites, “Should your brothers go to war while you stay here?
Moses said to the Gadites and the Reubenites, “Should your brothers go to war, while you stay here?
Moshe answered the descendants of Gad and of Re’uven: “Are your brothers to go to war while you stay here?
Moses answered: You mean you'd stay here while the rest of the Israelites go into battle?
And Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall *ye* abide here?
And Moses answered them: What, shall your brethren go to fight, and will you sit here?
Moses told the people from the tribes of Reuben and Gad, “Will you let your brothers go and fight while you settle here?
Moses said to the men of Reuben and Gad, ‘The other Israelite tribes will go across the river to fight against the people who live there. It is not fair that you should stay here!
Moses said to the descendants of Gad and Reuben, “Do you expect your brothers to go into battle while you live here?
But Moses said to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to the war while you sit here?
But Moses said to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to the war while you sit here?
Moses told the ·people of Gad [L sons/descendants of Gad] and ·Reuben [L the sons/descendants of Reuben], “Shall your brothers go to war while you stay ·behind [L here]?
And Moses said unto the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and ye tarry here?
Moses asked the tribes of Gad and Reuben, “Are you going to stay here while the rest of the Israelites go to war?
Moses replied, “Do you want to stay here while the other Israelites go to war?
But Moses asked the Gadites and Reubenites, “Should your brothers go to war while you stay here?
Moses told the people of Gad and Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to war while you stay behind?
“Will your relatives have to go to war while you remain here?” Moses asked the descendants of Gad and descendants of Reuben in response.
And Moses said unto the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

But Moses said to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to war while you yourselves sit here?
But Moses said to the descendants of Gad and to the descendants of Reuben, “Will your brothers go to war while you yourselves live here?
“You mean you want to sit here while your brothers go across and do all the fighting?” Moses demanded.
Moses answered the families of Gad and Reuben: “Do you mean that you are going to leave the fighting that’s ahead to your brothers while you settle down here? Why would you even think of letting the People of Israel down, demoralizing them just as they’re about to move into the land God gave them? That’s exactly what your ancestors did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to survey the country. They went as far as the Valley of Eshcol, took one look and quit. They completely demoralized the People of Israel from entering the land God had given them. And God got angry—oh, did he get angry! He swore: ‘They’ll never get to see it; none of those who came up out of Egypt who are twenty years and older will ever get to see the land that I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They weren’t interested in following me—their hearts weren’t in it. None, except for Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua son of Nun; they followed me—their hearts were in it.’
Moses said to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, “Will your brothers go to war, and you will dwell here?
Moses asked the tribes of Gad and Reuben, “Are you going to stay here while the rest of the Israelites go to war?
But Moses answered the Gadites and Reubenites: “Are your kindred, then, to go to war, while you remain here?
But Moses said to the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, “Should your brothers go to war while you remain here?

Moses spoke to the people of Gad and Reuben. He said, “Should the rest of us go to war while you stay here?
Moses said to the Gadites and Reubenites, “Should your fellow Israelites go to war while you sit here?
Moses said to the Gadites and Reubenites, ‘Should your fellow Israelites go to war while you sit here?
And Moses said to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben: “Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here?
But Moses said to the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, “Should your brothers go to war while you sit here?
“Do you intend to stay here while your brothers go across and do all the fighting?” Moses asked the men of Gad and Reuben.
But Moses said to the Gadites and to the Reubenites, ‘Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?

But Moses said to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, “Shall your brethren go to the war while you sit here?
But Moses said to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, “Shall your brethren go to the war while you sit here?
Moses replied to the sons of Gad and Reuben, “Should your countrymen go to war while you dwell here?
Moses: You’re missing the big picture. How can I let you settle here on this side of the Jordan, while your kinsmen on the other side of the Jordan may have to go to war in order to possess the land? Why would you dishearten the rest of the people today just as the spies did who disheartened the people in the last generation after I sent them from Kadesh-barnea and they saw the Eshcol Valley and the surrounding land?
Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?
To whom Moses answered, Whether your brethren shall go to battle, and ye shall sit here?
And Moses saith to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, `Do your brethren go in to the battle, and ye -- do ye sit here?
