And he called the name of the place Taberah [that is, A burning], because the fire of the Lord burned among them.
And the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of Jehovah burnt among them.
He named that place Taberah (the place of burning), because the fire of the Lord burned among them.

So that place was called Taberah. The people gave the place that name because the Lord caused a fire to burn in their camp.
So that place was called Taberah, because the Lord's fire burned among them there.

The people fell to grumbling over their hard life. God heard. When he heard his anger flared; then fire blazed up and burned the outer boundaries of the camp. The people cried out for help to Moses; Moses prayed to God and the fire died down. They named the place Taberah (Blaze) because fire from God had blazed up against them.

On account of this incident of the burning fire from the Eternal, the place where it happened is called Taberah, which means “burning.”
