Surely He scorneth the scorners, but He giveth grace unto the lowly.
Surely he scoffeth at the scoffers; But he giveth grace unto the lowly.
Though He scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, Yet He gives His grace [His undeserved favor] to the humble [those who give up self-importance].
Though He scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, yet He gives His undeserved favor to the low [in rank], the humble, and the afflicted.

He mocks those who mock but gives grace to the humble.

The Lord sneers at those who sneer at him, but he is kind to everyone who is humble.

He will humiliate those who make fun of others, but he is kind to those who are humble.
The Lord laughs at proud people who laugh at other people. But he is kind to humble people.

God’s curse blights the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He gives proud skeptics a cold shoulder, but if you’re down on your luck, he’s right there to help. Wise living gets rewarded with honor; stupid living gets the booby prize.
Surely He scorns the scornful, but He gives favor to the humble.
When he mocks the mockers, he is gracious to humble people.
Those who scoff, he scoffs at, but the lowly he favors.

He shows only disdain to those who are scornful, but he showers his kindness on the humble.

With arrogant scoffers he is scornful, yet he shows favor to the humble.
He makes fun of proud people who make fun of others. But he gives grace to those who are humble and treated badly.
He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
