Psalm 30:9

“What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise Thee? Shall it declare Thy truth?
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
“What profit is there in my blood (death), if I go down to the pit (grave)? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness [to man]?
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit (the grave)? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth and faithfulness to men?
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
“What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your truth?
“What is to be gained by my spilled blood, by my going down into the pit? Does dust thank you? Does it proclaim your faithfulness?
I called to you, Adonai; to Adonai I pleaded for mercy:
“What good will it do you if I am in the grave? Once I have turned to dust, how can I praise you or tell how loyal you are?
What profit is there in my blood, in my going down to the pit? shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
And thou hast not shut me up in the hands of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a spacious place.
I said, “What good is it if I die and go down to the grave? The dead just lie in the dirt. They cannot praise you. They cannot tell anyone how faithful you are.
If I go down into the deep hole of death, that will not help you! My dead body cannot praise you there! It cannot tell people to trust you!
“What gain is there in shedding my blood, in sending me down to destruction? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your truth?
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
I said, “What ·good will it do if I die [profit is there for you in my blood] or if I go down to ·the grave [corruption; destruction]? ·Dust cannot [L Will the dust…?; Gen. 2:7; Eccl. 12:7] ·praise [thank] you; ·it cannot [L will it…?] speak about your ·truth [faithfulness].
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit! shall the dust give thanks unto thee? or shall it declare thy truth?
“How will you profit if my blood is shed, if I go into the pit? Will the dust ⌞of my body⌟ give thanks to you? Will it tell about your truth?”
“What will you gain from my death? What profit from my going to the grave? Are dead people able to praise you? Can they proclaim your unfailing goodness?
“What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your truth?
I said, “What good will it do if I die or if I go down to the grave? Dust cannot praise you. It cannot speak about your truth.
“What profit is there in my death if I go down to the Pit? Can dust worship you? Can it proclaim your faithfulness?”
What profit is there in my blood when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? Shall it declare thy truth?
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
“What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?
“What gain is there in my death, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
“What will you gain, O Lord, from killing me? How can I praise you then to all my friends? How can my dust in the grave speak out and tell the world about your faithfulness?
I called out to you, God; I laid my case before you: “Can you sell me for a profit when I’m dead? auction me off at a cemetery yard sale? When I’m ‘dust to dust’ my songs and stories of you won’t sell. So listen! and be kind! Help me out of this!”
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust give You thanks? Will it declare Your truth?
“How will you profit if my blood is shed, if I go into the pit? Will the dust of my body give thanks to you? Will it tell about your truth?”
To you, Lord, I cried out; with the Lord I pleaded for mercy:
“What gain is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
“What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
To you, O Lord, I cried out, and I implored my God for mercy:
I said, “What good will it do if I die or if I go down to the grave? Dust cannot praise you; it cannot speak about your truth.
“What profit is there in taking my life, in my descending into the Pit? Can the dust of the grave praise you? Can it declare your loyalty?
I said, “What good will come if I become silent in death? What good will come if I go down into the grave? Can the dust of my dead body praise you? Can it tell how faithful you are?
“What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
‘What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
“What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?
What good will come from my blood, if I go down to the grave? Will the dust thank You? Will it tell how You are faithful?
“What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?
‘What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
‘What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
What profit is there in my dahm, in my going down into the pit? Shall the aphar (dust) praise Thee? Shall it declare Thy emes?
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise thee? Will it tell of thy faithfulness?
“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise thee? Will it tell of thy faithfulness?
To You, Adonai, I called, and to my Lord I made my plea:
I’m no good to You dead! What benefits come from my rotting corpse? My body in the grave will not praise You. No songs will rise up from the dust of my bones. From dust comes no proclamation of Your faithfulness.
“What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?
What profit is in my blood; while I go down into corruption? Whether dust shall acknowledge to thee; either it shall tell thy truth? (And I said, What profit is there in my death; if I go down into the pit? Shall the dust then praise thee? or can it tell about thy truth?)
`What gain [is] in my blood? In my going down unto corruption? Doth dust thank Thee? doth it declare Thy truth?
