“An evil disease,” they say, “cleaveth fast unto him, and now that he lieth down, he shall rise up no more.”

“A wicked thing is poured out upon him and holds him; And when he lies down, he will not rise up again.”

All who hate me whisper together against me, imagining the worst about me.
and they say, “You have some fatal disease! You'll never get well.”
A thing of Belial cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he is laid down, he will rise up no more.
Deep calleth on deep, at the noise of thy flood-gates. All thy heights and thy billows have passed over me.
They say, “He did something wrong. That is why he is sick. He will never get well.”
They say, ‘He has a dangerous disease. He will never get up from his bed.’
“A deadly affliction is poured out on him. He will never get up from the place where he lies.”
They say, “A deadly thing is poured out on him; he will not rise again from where he lies.”
They say, “A deadly thing is poured out on him; he will not rise again from where he lies.”
They say, “·He has a terrible disease [or An evil spell has been cast on him]. He ·will never get out of bed again [L lies down and will not get up].”
A mischief is light upon him, and he that lieth, shall no more rise.
“A devilish disease has attached itself to him. He will never leave his sickbed.”
They say, “He is fatally ill; he will never leave his bed again.”
“Lethal poison has been poured into him, and he won’t rise again from where he lies!”
They say, “He has a terrible disease. He will never get out of bed again.”
They say, “Wickedness is entrenched in him. Once he is brought low, he will not rise again.”
A disease of Belial, they say, cleaves fast unto him, and now that he lies he shall rise up no more.

The rumor goes out, “He’s got some dirty, deadly disease. The doctors have given up on him.” Even my best friend, the one I always told everything —he ate meals at my house all the time!— has bitten my hand.
“An evil disease clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will not rise up again.”

All those who hate me whisper together against me; they imagine the worst about me:

Some are saying: “Some vile disease has gotten hold of him. The bed he lies in will be his deathbed.”
“An evil disease”, they say, “has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”
They ordained an evil word against me; Whether he that sleepeth, shall not lie to, that he rise again? (They ordained an evil word against me; and they said, He who sleepeth, now that he lieth down, shall not rise up again.)
A thing of Belial is poured out on him, And because he lay down he riseth not again.
