So shall the congregation of the people compass Thee about; for their sakes, therefore, return Thou on high.

Rise up, Adonai, in your anger! Arouse yourself against the fury of my foes. Wake up for me; you commanded justice.
Make the nations come to you, as you sit on your throne above them all.
And the assembly of the peoples shall encompass thee; and for their sakes return thou on high.
Rise up, O Lord, in thy anger: and be thou exalted in the borders of my enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, in the precept which thou hast commanded:
Gather the nations around you, and take your place as judge.
Bring together the people of all nations, to stand in front of you. Rule over them from high above.

Stand up, God; pit your holy fury against my furious enemies. Wake up, God. My accusers have packed the courtroom; it’s judgment time. Take your place on the bench, reach for your gavel, throw out the false charges against me. I’m ready, confident in your verdict: “Innocent.”
