for lo, the wicked bend their bow and make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart;
For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;
For look, the wicked are bending the bow; They take aim with their arrow on the string To shoot [by stealth] in darkness at the upright in heart.
For see, the wicked are bending the bow; they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they [furtively] in darkness may shoot at the upright in heart.
For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
For look, the wicked string bows; they put their arrows on bowstrings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
because the wicked have already bent their bows; they’ve already strung their arrows; they are ready to secretly shoot those whose heart is right”?
See how the wicked are drawing their bows and setting their arrows on the string, to shoot from the shadows at honest men.
You tell me, “Watch out! Those evil people have put their arrows on their bows, and they are standing in the shadows, aiming at good people.
For behold, the wicked bend the bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may in darkness shoot at the upright in heart.
Save me, O Lord, for there is now no saint: truths are decayed from among the children of men.
Like hunters, the wicked hide in the dark. They get their bows ready and aim their arrows. They shoot at good, honest people.
See what the wicked people are doing! They are preparing their bows and arrows. They are hiding in dark places, to shoot their arrows at good, honest people.
Look! The wicked bend their bow. They set their arrow against the string to shoot in the darkness at the upright in heart.
for behold, the wicked bend the bow; they have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;

I’ve already run for dear life straight to the arms of God. So why would I run away now when you say, “Run to the mountains; the evil bows are bent, the wicked arrows Aimed to shoot under cover of darkness at every heart open to God. The bottom’s dropped out of the country; good people don’t have a chance”?

For look, the sinful raise their bow. They make their arrow ready on the string to shoot in the dark against the pure in heart.
The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right.

Look! The wicked approach with bows bent, sneaking around in the shadows, setting their arrows against their bowstrings to pierce everyone whose heart is pure.
For, behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
For lo! sinners have bent a bow; they have made ready their arrows in an arrow case; that they shoot in darkness the rightful men in heart. (For lo! the sinners have bent their bows; and they have placed their arrows in their arrow cases; so that they can shoot in the dark those with an upright heart.)
