Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
Thou makest us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.
You make us a byword among the nations, A laughingstock among the people.
You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the heads among the people.
Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
You make us a joke among the nations, a laughingstock among the peoples.
You’ve made us a bad joke to the nations, something to be laughed at by all peoples.
You make us an object for our neighbors to mock, one of scorn and derision to those around us.
Foreigners joke about us and shake their heads.
Thou makest us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
All the glory of the king's daughter is within in golden borders,
You made us one of the stories that people love to tell. People all over the world laugh at us and shake their heads.
The other nations tell jokes about us. They think that we are nothing.
You have made us a laughingstock among the nations, a reason for the peoples to shake their heads.
You have made us a byword among the nations, a laughingstock among the peoples.
You have made us a byword among the nations, a laughing-stock among the peoples.
You made us a ·joke [byword; proverb] to the other nations; people shake their heads.
Thou makest us a proverb among the nations, and a nodding of the head among the people.

You made people on the street, people we know, poke fun and call us names. You made us a joke among the godless, a cheap joke among the rabble. Every day I’m up against it, my nose rubbed in my shame— Gossip and ridicule fill the air, people out to get me crowd the street.
You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.
You made our defeat a proverb among the nations so that people shake their heads at us.
You make us the reproach of our neighbors, the mockery and scorn of those around us.
You make us a proverb among the nations, A laughingstock among the peoples.

You have subjected us to the contempt of our neighbors, to the mockery and scorn of all who are near.
You made us a joke to the other nations; people shake their heads.
You made us an object of ridicule among the nations; foreigners treat us with contempt.
The nations make jokes about us. They shake their heads at us.
