The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing
The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning;
The merchants who handled these articles, who grew wealthy from [their business with] her, will stand a long way off in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The dealers who handled these articles, who grew wealthy through their business with her, will stand a long way off, in terror of her doom and torment, weeping and grieving aloud, and saying,
The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand far off in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
“The merchants who sold these things, and got so rich by her, will stand a long way off because they fear the pain she suffers. They will weep and mourn, and say,
The sellers of these things, who got rich from her, will stand at a distance, for fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The merchants had become rich because of her. But when they saw her sufferings, they were terrified. They stood at a distance, crying and mourning.
The merchants of these things, who had been enriched through her, shall stand afar off through fear of her torment, weeping and grieving,
The merchants of these things, the ones having become-rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The merchants of these things, who were made rich, shall stand afar off from her, for fear of her torments, weeping and mourning.
“The merchants will be afraid of her suffering and will stand far away from her. They are the ones who became rich from selling those things to her. They will cry and be sad.
The traders had become rich because of the city. But now they will stand a long way from the city because they are afraid. They do not want to suffer in the same way themselves. They will weep and they will be very sad.
“The merchants who sold those things and were made rich by Babylon will stand far away out of terror at her torment. They are going to weep and mourn,
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants [L of these things] who became rich ·from selling to her [L from her] will be afraid of her ·suffering [torment; torture] and will stand far away. They will ·cry [weep] and ·be sad [mourn]
The merchants of these things which were waxed rich, shall stand afar off from her, for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing.
“Frightened by her torture, the merchants who had become rich by selling these things will stand far away. They will cry and mourn,
The merchants, who became rich from doing business in that city, will stand a long way off, because they are afraid of sharing in her suffering. They will cry and mourn,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand far off in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The businessmen will be afraid of her suffering and stand far away from her. These are the men who became rich from selling those things to her. The men will cry and be sad.
Frightened by the severity of her punishment, businesses that had become rich because of her will stand at a distance, crying and mourning:
Those who bought and sold these things, who had gained their wealth from her, will stand afar off through fear of her punishment, weeping and lamenting and saying, “Alas, alas for the great city that was dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and was bedecked with gold and jewels and pearls—alas that in a single hour all that wealth should be destroyed!” Then every shipmaster and seafarer—sailors and all whose business is upon the sea—stood and watched the smoke of her burning from afar, and cried out, “What city was ever like the great city?”
The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, crying and mourning,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from them, will stand far off, weeping and mourning because of the fear of her torment,
And so the merchants who have become wealthy by selling her these things shall stand at a distance, fearing danger to themselves, weeping and crying,
“The traders will cry and carry on because the bottom dropped out of business, no more market for their goods: gold, silver, precious gems, pearls; fabrics of fine linen, purple, silk, scarlet; perfumed wood and vessels of ivory, precious woods, bronze, iron, and marble; cinnamon and spice, incense, myrrh, and frankincense; wine and oil, flour and wheat; cattle, sheep, horses, and chariots. And slaves—their terrible traffic in human lives. Everything you’ve lived for, gone! All delicate and delectable luxury, lost! Not a scrap, not a thread to be found! “The traders who made millions off her kept their distance for fear of getting burned, and cried and carried on all the more: Doom, doom, the great city doomed! Dressed in the latest fashions, adorned with the finest jewels, in one hour such wealth wiped out! “All the ship captains and travelers by sea, sailors and toilers of the sea, stood off at a distance and cried their lament when they saw the smoke from her burning: ‘Oh, what a city! There was never a city like her!’ They threw dust on their heads and cried as if the world had come to an end: Doom, doom, the great city doomed! All who owned ships or did business by sea Got rich on her getting and spending. And now it’s over—wiped out in one hour!
“The merchants of these things, who gained wealth by her, will stand far off for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
The merchants who became rich by selling her these things will stand at a distance weeping and mourning because they · fear · her torment.
“Frightened by her torture, the merchants who had become rich by selling these things will stand far away. They will cry and mourn,
The merchants who deal in these goods, who grew rich from her, will keep their distance for fear of the torment inflicted on her. Weeping and mourning,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
“The merchants of these things who made a fortune from her will stand far off, weeping and mourning aloud, and terrified as they behold her torment:
The merchants who became rich from selling to her will be afraid of her suffering and will stand far away. They will cry and be sad
The merchants who sold these things, who got rich from her, will stand a long way off because they are afraid of her torment. They will weep and mourn,
The traders who sold these things became rich because of Babylon. When she suffers, they will stand far away. Her suffering will terrify them. They will weep and mourn.
The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn
The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn
The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
The men of the earth who became rich by buying and selling in that city will stand a long way back because they are afraid of her sufferings. They will cry and have sorrow.
The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry out,
The merchants of these things, who had gotten rich, will stand afar off from her, for fear of her punishment, weeping and wailing,
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants of these wares, who grew wealthy from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants who sold these things, and who made themselves rich from her, will stand a long way off for fear of her tortures. They will weep and mourn,
“And the merchants of these things, the ones having become rich from her, will stand afar off because of the fear of her torment, and they will be weeping and wailing, [YECHEZKEL 27:31]
The merchants of these things (who had grown rich) shall stand at a distance from her for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing.
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,
The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, shall stand far off for fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The sellers of these goods, who made a fine profit from her, will stand at a distance. Like the kings, they will fear her punishment might fall on them too. They will weep and mourn their loss.
The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, will stand far away for the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The traders will sell these things and got much money from the city. They will stand far away from it because they are afraid of the trouble it is having. They will cry and be sad about it.
And merchants of these things shall no more find those things [shall no more find these goods]. They that be made rich of it, shall stand far, for dread of torments of it, weeping, and mourning,
The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, far off shall stand because of the fear of her torment, weeping, and sorrowing,
