And he measured the wall thereof: a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
He measured its wall also—a hundred forty-four cubits (about 200 feet), according to man’s measurements, which are [also] angelic [measurements].
He measured its wall also—144 cubits (about 72 yards) by a man’s measure [of a cubit from his elbow to his third fingertip], which is [the measure] of the angel.
And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
Then he measured its wall, 144 cubits according to human measurement, which the angel used.
He also measured the thickness of its wall. It was two hundred sixteen feet thick, as a person—or rather, an angel—measures things.
He measured its wall at 216 feet by human standards of measurement, which the angel was using.
Then the angel measured the wall, and by our measurements it was about 60 meters high.
And he measured its wall, a hundred [and] forty-four cubits, [a] man's measure, that is, [the] angel's.
And he measured its wall— a hundred forty four cubits (a human’s measure, which is an angel’s [also]).
And he measured the wall thereof an hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is of an angel.
The angel also measured the wall. It was 144 cubits high. (The angel was using the same measurement that people use.)
He also measured its wall. The size of the wall was 144 cubits (65 metres). That is the way that humans measure things. The angel also measured in the same way.
He also measured its wall by human measurement, which was what the angel used: 144 cubits.
He also measured its wall, 144 cubits by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement.
He also measured its wall, 144 cubits by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement.
The angel also measured the wall. It was ·216 feet [L 144 cubits] ·high [or thick; C the Greek is ambiguous], by human measurements, which the angel was using.
And he measured the wall thereof an hundred forty and four cubits, by the measure of man, that is, of the Angel.
He measured its wall. According to human measurement, which the angel was using, it was 144 cubits.

He also measured its wall. According to the human measurement that the angel was using, it was 144 cubits.
The one who was talking to me had a golden rod in his hand with which to measure the city, its gateways and its wall. The city lies foursquare, its length equal to its breadth. He measured the city with his rod and it was twelve thousand furlongs in each direction, for its length, breadth and height are all equal. Then he measured its wall, and found that to be one hundred and forty-four half-yards high by human measurement, (which the angel was using).
And he measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
And he measured its wall, 144 cubits, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements.
And he measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits according to human measure, which is the angel’s.
Then he measured the thickness of the walls and found them to be 216 feet across (the angel called out these measurements to me, using standard units).
The Angel speaking with me had a gold measuring stick to measure the City, its gates, and its wall. The City was laid out in a perfect square. He measured the City with the measuring stick: fifteen hundred miles, its length, width, and height all equal. Using the standard measure, the Angel measured the thickness of its wall: seventy-two yards. The wall was jasper, the color of Glory, and the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. The foundations of the City walls were garnished with every precious gem imaginable: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate a single pearl. The main street of the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. But there was no sign of a Temple, for the Lord God—the Sovereign-Strong—and the Lamb are the Temple. The City doesn’t need sun or moon for light. God’s Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth’s kings bring in their splendor. Its gates will never be shut by day, and there won’t be any night. They’ll bring the glory and honor of the nations into the City. Nothing dirty or defiled will get into the City, and no one who defiles or deceives. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will get in. * * *
He then measured its wall: two hundred feet by the measurement of a man, that is, of an angel.

Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
The angel found out that the walls were the same as a man taking seventy-two long steps. The angel used the same way to find out about the city as a man would have used.

And he meted the walls of it, of an hundred and forty and four cubits, by measure of man, that is, of the angel.
and he measured its wall, an hundred forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, that is, of the messenger;
