What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
So what benefit did you get at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? [None!] For the outcome of those things is death!
But then what benefit (return) did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? [None] for the end of those things is death.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
So what fruit was produced then from the things you are now ashamed of? The outcome of those things is death.
What consequences did you get from doing things that you are now ashamed of? The outcome of those things is death.
but what benefit did you derive from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end result of those things was death.
But what good did you receive from the things you did? All you have to show for them is your shame, and they lead to death.
What fruit therefore had ye *then* in the things of which ye are *now* ashamed? for the end of *them* [is] death.
So what fruit were you having at that time? Things over which you are now ashamed! For the outcome of those things is death.
What fruit therefore had you then in those things, of which you are now ashamed? For the end of them is death.
You did evil things, and now you are ashamed of what you did. Did those things help you? No, they only brought death.
You did things that you are ashamed about now. Nothing good came from them. In the end, the result of those things is death.
So what kind of fruit did you have then? They were things of which you are now ashamed. Yes, the final result of those things is death.
But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
And what ·was the result of [benefit/fruit did you reap from] doing those things that now make you ashamed? [L For] ·Those things only bring [L The end/result of those things is] death.
What fruit had ye then in those things, whereof ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
What did you gain by doing those things? You’re ashamed of what you used to do because it ended in death.
What did you gain from doing the things that you are now ashamed of? The result of those things is death!
So what fruit was produced then from the things you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.
You did evil things, and now you are ashamed of them. Those things only bring death.
What benefit did you get from doing those things you are now ashamed of? For those things resulted in death.
Now, what shall we do? Shall we go on sinning because we have no Law to condemn us any more, but are living under grace? Never! Just think what it would mean. You belong to the power which you choose to obey, whether you choose sin, whose reward is death, or God, obedience to whom means the reward of righteousness. Thank God that you, who were at one time the servants of sin, honestly responded to the impact of Christ’s teaching when you came under its influence. Then, released from the service of sin, you entered the service of righteousness. (I use an everyday illustration because human nature grasps truth more readily that way.) In the past you voluntarily gave your bodies to the service of vice and wickedness—for the purpose of becoming wicked. So, now, give yourselves to the service of righteousness—for the purpose of becoming really good. For when you were employed by sin you owed no duty to righteousness. Yet what sort of harvest did you reap from those things that today you blush to remember? In the long run those things mean one thing only—death.
What fruit had ye then in those things of which ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
Therefore what benefit were you then having from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
Therefore what sort of fruit did you have then, about which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
And what was the result? Evidently not good, since you are ashamed now even to think about those things you used to do, for all of them end in eternal doom.
As long as you did what you felt like doing, ignoring God, you didn’t have to bother with right thinking or right living, or right anything for that matter. But do you call that a free life? What did you get out of it? Nothing you’re proud of now. Where did it get you? A dead end.
What fruit did you have then from the things of which you are now ashamed? The result of those things is death.
Therefore what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
What did you gain by doing those things? You’re ashamed of what you used to do because it ended in death.
But what profit did you get then from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.
Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.
But what advantage did you get then from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
You did evil things, and now you are ashamed of them. Those things only bring death.
So what benefit did you then reap from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.
What benefit did you gain from doing the things you are now ashamed of? Those things lead to death!
What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
What good did you get from the things you are ashamed of now? Those things bring death.
And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom.
What fruit had you then, in those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.
So what advantage did you then get from the things of which you now are ashamed? The end of those things is death.
So what advantage did you then get from the things of which you now are ashamed? The end of those things is death.
So what advantage did you then get from the things of which you now are ashamed? The end of those things is death.
So what fruit did you then gain from the things of which you now are ashamed? The end of those things is death.
What fruit did you ever have from the things of which you are now ashamed? Their destination is death.
What p’ri for Hashem did you produce then? Things for which you now have bushah (shame), for the end result of those things is mavet (death).
What fruit did you then have in those things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
But then what return did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end of those things is death.
But then what return did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end of those things is death.
So then, what outcome did you have that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.
But what do you have to show from your former lives besides shame? The outcome of that life is death, guaranteed.
What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
You are now ashamed of those things. What good did they do you? For the end of those things is death.
Therefore what fruit had ye then in those things, in which ye shame now? For the end of them is death.
what fruit, therefore, were ye having then, in the things of which ye are now ashamed? for the end of those [is] death.
