Romans 13:2
Print
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God, and those who resist shall receive for themselves damnation.
Therefore he that resisteth the power, withstandeth the ordinance of God: and they that withstand shall receive to themselves judgment.
Therefore whoever resists [governmental] authority resists the ordinance of God. And those who have resisted it will bring judgment (civil penalty) on themselves.
Therefore he who resists and sets himself up against the authorities resists what God has appointed and arranged [in divine order]. And those who resist will bring down judgment upon themselves [receiving the penalty due them].
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.
So anyone who opposes the authority is standing against what God has established. People who take this kind of stand will get punished.
Therefore, whoever resists the authorities is resisting what God has instituted; and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
People who oppose the authorities are opposing what God has done, and they will be punished.
So that he that sets himself in opposition to the authority resists the ordinance of God; and they who [thus] resist shall bring sentence of guilt on themselves.
So then the one opposing the authority has resisted the ordinance of God. And the ones having resisted will receive judgment on themselves.
Therefore he that resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God. And they that resist, purchase to themselves damnation.
So anyone who is against the government is really against something God has commanded. Those who are against the government bring punishment on themselves.
So anyone who refuses to obey that authority is refusing to obey God. That person will receive the proper punishment.
Therefore the one who rebels against the authority is opposing God’s institution, and those who oppose will bring judgment on themselves.
Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgement.
So those who ·are against the government [rebel/resist the authority] are really ·against [resisting; opposing] what God has ·commanded [ordained; instituted]. And they will bring ·punishment [judgment] on themselves.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist, shall receive to themselves condemnation.
Therefore, whoever resists the government opposes what God has established. Those who resist will bring punishment on themselves.
Whoever opposes the existing authority opposes what God has ordered; and anyone who does so will bring judgment on himself.
So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.
So if anyone is against the government, he is really against what God has commanded. And so he brings punishment on himself.
so that whoever resists the authorities opposes what God has established, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
Every Christian ought to obey the civil authorities, for all legitimate authority is derived from God’s authority, and the existing authority is appointed under God. To oppose authority then is to oppose God, and such opposition is bound to be punished.
Whosoever therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God, and those that resist shall receive condemnation to themselves.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Therefore whoever resists that authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
So then, the one who resists authority resists the ordinance which is from God, and those who resist will receive condemnation on themselves.
So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow.
Be a good citizen. All governments are under God. Insofar as there is peace and order, it’s God’s order. So live responsibly as a citizen. If you’re irresponsible to the state, then you’re irresponsible with God, and God will hold you responsible. Duly constituted authorities are only a threat if you’re trying to get by with something. Decent citizens should have nothing to fear. Do you want to be on good terms with the government? Be a responsible citizen and you’ll get on just fine, the government working to your advantage. But if you’re breaking the rules right and left, watch out. The police aren’t there just to be admired in their uniforms. God also has an interest in keeping order, and he uses them to do it. That’s why you must live responsibly—not just to avoid punishment but also because it’s the right way to live.
Therefore whoever resists the authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Therefore whoever resists · authority resists what · God has decreed, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
Therefore, whoever resists the government opposes what God has established. Those who resist will bring punishment on themselves.
Therefore, whoever resists authority opposes what God has appointed, and those who oppose it will bring judgment upon themselves.
Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
Consequently, anyone who resists authority is rebelling against what God has appointed, and those who so resist will bring judgment upon themselves.
So those who are against the government are really against what God has commanded. And they will bring punishment on themselves.
So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment
So whoever opposes the authorities opposes leaders whom God has appointed. Those who do that will be judged.
Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
The person who does not obey the leaders of the land is working against what God has done. Anyone who does that will be punished.
So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.
Therefore whoever resists authority, resists the ordinance of God. And those who resist will bring retribution on themselves,
Therefore whoever resists authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgement.
Therefore whoever resists authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgement.
Therefore whoever resists authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Therefore whoever resists authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
As a result, anyone who rebels against authority is resisting what God has set up, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
So then, he who opposes the authority has resisted the ordinance, official decree of G-d; and those who resist shall receive mishpat (judgment) on themselves.
Therefore, whoever resists that authority, resists the ordinance of God. And those who resist, shall receive condemnation upon themselves.
Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
So whoever opposes the authority has resisted God’s direction, and those who have resisted will bring judgment on themselves.
Therefore, a person who rebels against authority rebels against the order He established, and people like that can expect to face certain judgment.
Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment.
So anyone who fights against the ruler, fights against what God put there. And those who fight will be punished.
Therefore he that against-standeth power, against-standeth the ordinance of God; and they that against-stand, get to themselves damnation.
so that he who is setting himself against the authority, against God's ordinance hath resisted; and those resisting, to themselves shall receive judgment.
