Romans 6:10
Print
For in that He died, He died unto sin once; but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God.
For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
For the death that He died, He died to sin [ending its power and paying the sinner’s debt] once and for all; and the life that He lives, He lives to [glorify] God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].
For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
He died to sin once and for all with his death, but he lives for God with his life.
For his death was a unique event that need not be repeated; but his life, he keeps on living for God.
When Christ died, he died for sin once and for all. But now he is alive, and he lives only for God.
For in that he has died, he has died to sin once for all; but in that he lives, he lives to God.
For the death that He died, He died to sin once-for-all. But the life that He is living, He is living to God.
For in that he died to sin, he died once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God:
Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God.
When Christ died, he died once to destroy the power of sin for ever. Now that he is alive again, he lives to serve God.
For the death he died, he died to sin once and for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God.
For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.
For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.
·Yes [L For; Because], when Christ died, he died ·to defeat the power of sin [to take away sin; or with reference to sin] ·one time—enough for all time [once for all; Heb. 7:27]. [L But] He now has a new life, and his new life is ·with [or for the glory of; or with reference to] God.
For in that he died, he died once to sin: but in that he liveth, he liveth to God.
When he died, he died once and for all to sin’s power. But now he lives, and he lives for God.
And so, because he died, sin has no power over him; and now he lives his life in fellowship with God.
For in light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God.
Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God.
For when he died, he died once and for all as far as sin is concerned. But now that he is alive, he lives for God.
Now what is our response to be? Shall we sin to our heart’s content and see how far we can exploit the grace of God? What a ghastly thought! We, who have died to sin—how could we live in sin a moment longer? Have you forgotten that all of us who were baptised into Jesus Christ were, by that very action, sharing in his death? We were dead and buried with him in baptism, so that just as he was raised from the dead by that splendid Revelation of the Father’s power so we too might rise to life on a new plane altogether. If we have, as it were, shared his death, let us rise and live our new lives with him! Let us never forget that our old selves died with him on the cross that the tyranny of sin over us might be broken—for a dead man can safely be said to be immune to the power of sin. And if we were dead men with him we can believe that we shall also be men newly alive with him. We can be sure that the risen Christ never dies again—death’s power to touch him is finished. He died, because of sin, once: he lives for God for ever. In the same way look upon yourselves as dead to the appeal and power of sin but alive and sensitive to the call of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
For he that is dead died unto sin once, and he that lives, lives unto God.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all, but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
For that death he died, he died to sin once and never again, but that life he lives, he lives to God.
He died once for all to end sin’s power, but now he lives forever in unbroken fellowship with God.
Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer captive to sin’s demands! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did.
For the death He died, He died to sin once for all, but the life He lives, He lives to God.
For the death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
When he died, he died once and for all to sin’s power. But now he lives, and he lives for God.
As to his death, he died to sin once and for all; as to his life, he lives for God.
For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
When he died, he died to sin once and for all. However, the life he lives, he lives for God.
Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God.
For the death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God.
When he died, he died once and for all time. He did this to break the power of sin. Now that he lives, he lives in the power of God.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
He died once but now lives. He died to break the power of sin, and the life He now lives is for God.
When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God.
For concerning that he died, he died as to sin once. And concerning that he lives, he lives unto God.
The death he died, he died to sin, once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
The death he died, he died to sin, once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
The death he died, he died to sin, once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God.
The death he died, you see, he died to sin, once and only once. But the life he lives, he lives to God.
For the Mavet Moshiach died, he died to Chet (sin) once and for all; but the Chayyim Moshiach lives, he lives to Hashem.
For, in that He died, He died once to sin. But in that He lives, He lives to God.
The death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.
The death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.
For the death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God.
When He died, He died to whatever power sin had, once and for all, and now He lives completely to God.
For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
He died. And he died once for all time, so that people would stop their wrong ways. But now he lives. And he lives for God.
For that he was dead to sin, he was dead once; but that he liveth, he liveth to God.
for in that he died, to the sin he died once, and in that he liveth, he liveth to God;
