When Shalmaneser died, Sennacherib his son ruled in his place. The roads to Media became dangerous, and I couldn’t travel there any longer.
He therefore went to all that were in captivity, and gave them wholesome admonitions.
When Shalmaneser died, his son Sennacherib succeeded him as emperor. It soon became so dangerous to travel on the roads in Media that I could no longer go there.
When Shalmaneser died and his son Sennacherib came to rule in his stead, the roads to Media became unsafe, so I could no longer go to Media.
However, when Shalmaneser died and his son Sennacherib succeeded him as king, the roads into Media became dangerous, and so I could no longer travel there.
