16 and (A)Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint king over Israel; and (B)Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place. 17 It shall come about, the (C)one who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu (D)shall put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha shall put to death. 18 (E)Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not (F)kissed him.”

16 Also, anoint(A) Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha(B) son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah(C) to succeed you as prophet. 17 Jehu will put to death any who escape the sword of Hazael,(D) and Elisha will put to death any who escape the sword of Jehu.(E) 18 Yet I reserve(F) seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed(G) him.”
