5 then (A)I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, just as I [a]promised to your father David, saying, ‘You shall not have a man cut off from the throne of Israel.’
6 “(B)But if you or your sons indeed turn away from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have given before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, 7 (C)then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and (D)the house which I have set apart as holy for My name, I will [b]cast out of My presence. So (E)Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

5 I will establish(A) your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail(B) to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’
6 “But if you[a] or your descendants turn away(C) from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you[b] and go off to serve other gods(D) and worship them, 7 then I will cut off Israel from the land(E) I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name.(F) Israel will then become a byword(G) and an object of ridicule(H) among all peoples.
